2.0 out of 5 stars Nothing fresh with this, January 2, 2007
This review is from: Fresh Approaches to Working with Problematic Behavior: A Childhood Expert and Teachers Share Their Strategies for Reaching and Teaching Children Who D (Paperback)
The guidelines in this book are good, but after working as a teacher for ten years, rather obvious. I have to try my best and try different things with each child. The book also gave me the impression that a good teacher will work 24 h/day.

5.0 out of 5 stars Wonderful resource for teachers!, July 25, 2001

This review is from: Fresh Approaches to Working with Problematic Behavior: A Childhood Expert and Teachers Share Their Strategies for Reaching and Teaching Children Who D (Paperback)
I feel this is a book all teachers should read, especially those just entering the education field. The author gives real-life examples of students who were having difficulties in the classroom, either by acting out or withdrawing into themselves, and how their teachers dealt with the situation. There are many wonderful and practical ideas that can be implemeted in any classroom, and could be adopted to fit individual student needs. As the counselor at my school, I am going to recommend that all of our new teachers read this book!
