Fresh Authentic Traditional Savon de Marseille Olive Cube 600g - Handcrafted pure olive oil French soap

This is a handmade soap (Savon de Marseille). I have bought this soap from different suppliers (and this vendor via their website) before and it is normal to receive them in different conditions. The one I received from them was not dry. Some people prefer to dry the soap before using it so that it will last longer, some other people like it to be "fresh". I personally prefer it to be dry so that it will last me longer and it being "dry" on the outside does not in any way changes its cleansing properties. If you are looking to buy a "perfect looking soap" for decoration stick with their fragranced soaps instead because they are hard milled (they are already meant to last).

This is the only soap I will use in the shower. It's creamy, makes nice lather, smells great. I have it in many scents,all with essential oils. Never has this product disappointed me.

This soap, for those who haven't yet tried it, is so pure and skin softening that my
sister said she didn't need moisture cream on her body even in the winter with dry,
heated air in the house.

I rarely rate products -- only books -- but this one should be encouraged. I remembered it from my childhood, and now trying it again, years later, it is just as good as I thought. This gentle soap is ideal for sensitive skin, since it has no additives; you will hardly need a lotion after using it. The clean, natural soap scent is utterly delightful, and is free of any perfume, so if you use any, it won't clash with it. This should be enough, particularly since the price is so reasonable for the size you get, but I decided to put it to the test and do what the old French ladies used to do -- wash my dishes and do some hand laundry, just for fun. Well, as a dishwashing soap it beats all the liquids I have ever used. It does not create the sticky and annoying suds but just washes cleanly and beautifully, and the dishes simply sparkle. And for hand laundry, I was surprised at how well it worked. And I also must add that the first order (this is my second) came faster than expected and well packaged so the soap arrived in perfect shape. So this time I ordered two of those giant slabs, one for the bathroom and one for the kitchen. Nice and green!

Savon de Marseille is a high quality french controlled olive oil soap which is wonderful for your skin. I have purchased this before in France and therefore knew right away that the block I received was old product. It should arrive green and square. Mine arrived a faded yellow and concave from the soap drying out.
