5.0 out of 5 stars Hallelujah, it WORKS!
As someone who was beyond overjoyed to find something that actually got rid of some seriously "unriddable" mice, I am astounded to see the negative reviews here, As they seem to be posted in a relatively short timeframe, I wonder if they got bad/old product via Amazon (there was a quality issue on bags made last November - see the note on the Fresh Cab website). 1.0 out of 5 stars Fresh Cab Didn't Work for Me
I bought this (locally, not from Amazon) about a week ago because I have mice in my 2010 Subaru. I used the 4 packets of Fresh Cab in the car (two in the front, one in the back seat and one in the back of the Outback) for 4 days and caught 3 mice on glue traps during those 4 days. [Since I stopped using Fresh Cab, I've caught 2 more mice.]

Here's what...

5.0 out of 5 stars Hallelujah, it WORKS!, August 15, 2010

As someone who was beyond overjoyed to find something that actually got rid of some seriously "unriddable" mice, I am astounded to see the negative reviews here, As they seem to be posted in a relatively short timeframe, I wonder if they got bad/old product via Amazon (there was a quality issue on bags made last November - see the note on the Fresh Cab website). I also wonder if they are using enough pouches and placing them properly.

This stuff WORKS, and it worked when nothing else did. We had mice come in the winter before last and nothing we tried got rid of them - snap traps, sticky traps, poison baits, even bought the electronic "Rat Zapper" here on Amazon and it never caught a single one. We tried every bait imaginable and positioned them every which way. We eventually got 2 in snap traps; they never went near anything else. Still the mice kept coming (my home is clean, by the way, and we did seal up all potential food sources, to no avail). I found the Fresh Cab site and decided to try it as a last resort. I ordered 2 cases for good measure and placed 2 pouches in each room plus closets. It WORKED!! Not another sign of a mouse was ever seen. We replace the bags every few months and throw away the old ones as directed. I am so glad I don't have to worry about poisons anymore nor deal with dead critters in traps (ugh!). This stuff is an absolute blessing. As for the scent, as always that will be a matter of personal preference. I happen to like it and it's only really obvious for maybe the first week after opening a fresh pouch, so don't let the talk of the scent deter you from trying these.

5.0 out of 5 stars Works incredibly well, October 24, 2009
We have a 115 year old log deer hunting cabin in northern Minnesota that we use about two weeks per year. We have used every rodent poison known, but they last only until they're eaten and don't do anything about bats or red squirrels. I started using Fresh Cab two years ago, and I am astonished at how effective it is in using natural scents to keep the little critters out. The balsam oil and spices "air out" quickly from the cabin, and it doesn't leave an unnatural scent on our hunting clothes. I wouldn't have believed how effective it is. Putting a package or two in every six months takes care of the two rooms of the 600 square foot cabin.

1.0 out of 5 stars Fresh Cab Didn't Work for Me, October 12, 2010

I bought this (locally, not from Amazon) about a week ago because I have mice in my 2010 Subaru. I used the 4 packets of Fresh Cab in the car (two in the front, one in the back seat and one in the back of the Outback) for 4 days and caught 3 mice on glue traps during those 4 days. [Since I stopped using Fresh Cab, I've caught 2 more mice.]

Here's what didn't work, besides this product:
1. Cotton balls soaked in peppermint oil.
2. Bleach poured around the perimeter of the car.
3. Ammonia soaked rags around the car.
4. Dryer sheets.
5. A product that smells like Double Mint gum and is packaged similarly to Fresh Cab.
6. Moth balls (three boxes) sprinkled around the perimeter of the car.

What seems to work: Make a couple bucket traps place them outside the car and attract mice that otherwise would go in the car to the bucket.

Glue traps in the car work better than snap traps. If you use a glue trap, tape them to the floor so that these very sticky things don't get flipped over and stuck to your floor mats.

Perhaps the most important advice from a lesson learned two years ago: Don't leave any food in the car. A fifty pound bag of sunflower seeds forgotten in the trunk of an Avalon for several weeks is an especially good thing to avoid.

1.0 out of 5 stars Worthless; Don't Buy It!, December 11, 2010
This review is from: Fresh Cab Rodent Repellent (4 Pouch Box)
DON'T BUY IT! IT DOESN'T WORK. This product is a waste of money. I saw a mouse in my studio apt within the week that I spread the 12 bags that I bought for $50. I'm pretty frustrated. This product smells good, but is totally worthless.

I put two bags inside a storage room in my garage. Two weeks later, I see new droppings. Didn't seem to repel them unfortunately. I had high hopes. Also, the instructions say to remove the bag after 30 days or it will attract hungry rodents, that was a bit disconcerting.

The mouse apparently wasn't repelled, because it actually stopped long enough right on top of the Fresh Cab packet to take a dump on it. I wish I were kidding.

1.0 out of 5 stars Worthless, May 25, 2010

Two winters ago we had a mice infestation in our pop up camper which is stored outside. A friend recommended Fresh Cab, so we bought a box and tossed it in when we stored it in the fall.

Picked up the camper this weekend and popped it up to find another mouse mess as big as the last one. The Fresh Cab seemed to do nothing.

Save your money. Better to find and seal every opening in whatever it is you are trying to keep the mice out of.

5.0 out of 5 stars Fantastic Product!, August 19, 2010
This review is from: Fresh Cab Rodent Repellent (4 Pouch Box)
I had mice living in my kitchen range and under the sink, as well as in the garage...despite my many cats! Just too many for them to catch. I just put out four pouches this week and no more mice! Yay!!! It smells great, non toxic and I usually get sickened by air freshener, not so with these. You have a lifetime customer. Thank you!

( wonder if it works for bats? I will hang some outside my house )

We keep Fresh Cab pouches in our RV compartments when it's off the road, then we move those packages (if they're still "fresh") to the engines of our cars when we take the RV out for 4-5 weeks at a time. We replace the pouches as we think about it; we aren't totally strict on the 3 months, by the way, although we strive for that. We used to have mice in our car engine compartments a while back; haven't seen hide nor hair (nor droppings) in a long time. RV sits outside in a wooded area known for rodents of all types; so far--after a year--no problems. We like the pleasant smell, too. So far, so good!

5.0 out of 5 stars Fresh Cab works great!, April 28, 2008
Last fall, we had mice trying to take over our Motorhome. We were setting traps every other day, they just kept coming in trying to nest for winter here in Iowa. We had poisons, glue traps, and regular traps all over the RV.
I decided to give Fresh Cab a try and could not believe the results. We cleaned the RV perfectly and saw NO TRACE of a mouse anywhere. This spring we opened it back up and had ZERO mouse turds or nests anywhere. This stuff works great and smells good to us. It smells fresh, like we just spring-cleaned the RV.
Also, our friends place, just down the lane, was nearly destroyed this winter by the mice they had because they didn't want to spend the $13.00 on Fresh Cab. They killed over 30 trying to reclaim there place. We had ZERO. I would highly recommend you try this product.
