If you are searching for revival in your walk with Jesus Christ, or if you are a new Christian desiring to "ground" yourself in the Word, this book is what you're looking for. The format allows you to examine your personal relationship with God by answering questions and learning how to pray for God's direction in your life. Just as God's mission for your life, this book is not to be taken lightly. Plan to study this book with a group or in dedicated quiet time. This experience requires your availability to listen to what God wants to reveal in your life.

The Blackaby's have fast become one of my favorite Christian writers. Every work I have read has moved me to tears, prayer, and rededication. I cannot imagine being able to sit under their ministry full time! Every page of this book is annointed in a special way to lead you to think of our country, our churches, ourselves. Using wonderfully potent examples, stories, Scripture and exhortations, the Blackaby's outline a sure way to put yourself in position to be used by God, to glorify Jesus Christ, and to perform Spirit-filled service. To borrow a line from a movie, they "make me want to be a better man."

This is the first book I have read from the Blackaby's and I must say I am rather impressed and have been blessed by this work. Page after page I was encouraged to believe that God has more for me--spiritually speaking. The authors are not into hyping a cotton-candy, shallow experience but rather they are aiming at making strong, established disciples who are followers of, and in love with, the Lord Jesus Christ.

My next purchase is Experiencing God. If it is as half as good as this work, I'm sure it will be a spiritual masterpiece!

Don't plan on reading this book in one sitting: it is definitely food for thought, so it requires more time for reading and thinking and reading again to really reap the benefits of the message. Blackaby always sets the reader to thinking, and if the reader is serious about what he is doing, he is a more mature Christian when he puts the book down.

Blackaby has done it once again: identified a key to biblical Christianity and shown how to abide in Christ for an effective life.

I ordered the Fresh Encounters book-green on the cover- by Henry and Richard Blackaby. That was the particular one my pastor wanted us all to read. What I recieved was a different Fresh Encounter book, written by Henry Blackaby and Claude V. King.
It is ok, I guess, so I kept it rather than complain and have to pay return postage.
Everything else I ordered was fine, great shape and arrived on time.

It is a great book only it is an old edition. I was not aware that there was a later edition out. I need the new edition for my group.

The book shown was not the same as what was sent. The title was the same however the edition sent was not the revised edition as shown but the original version from 1997. The book received was very different.

Being a HUGE fan of Experiencing God, I bought this book to discuss with a small group. It's a great book, because it explains the basics of revival. It just seems to lack a lot of substance. The chapters are pretty simple and can be read in about 20 minutes. I have not yet read Part 2, so I'm hoping things will change.

Great book. But what I really want is to get hold of the Workbook which is not available in Malaysia. I'm sorry if I'm misusing this column - I don't how else to get through. We did Experiencing God a few years ago and I must say it is the best workbook ever - period. We got it from the Philippines and it was half the price than if we got it from the States. I understand from my local Baptist Bookshop in Penang, Malaysia that we can no longer get copies from the Philippines. That's not good for us. Please authorise sales to Asia from Philippines. Secondly, we need Fresh Encounter workbooks - preferably printed in Philippines or Singapore. The book (not the workbook)is available in a special print from Singapore - I think Campus Crusade. Please help, urgently!
