There is no cross contamination because of the unique double wrap closure, this means that your placemat is always clean. The snack-sized bag also has side gussets to accommodate bulky snacks like whole strawberries or apple wedges. The sandwich bag measures 6 by 8 inches when closed, and 17-1/2 by 8 inches when opened flat. The snack bag measures 4 by 6 inches, and 12 by 6 inches when opened. They also feature a Velcro closure. Hand wash and then hang or towel dry. Not for use with liquids as it will leak.

I gave these a try, and they are ok. Not great, not bad but ok. In comparison to Wrap-n-mat and Lunchbots....these are probably my least favorite of the 3. Lunchbots being #1..... Although these can hold a lot, sandwhiches or snacks....they are not so fun to wash and let dry and get stuff out of the corners and seams inside. All in all they are rather taxing to try and wash and get the lunch leftovers out. Sandwhich stuff gets in there, cracker crumbs etc.... and for some reason the velcro on the overlay seems to always snag sponges, washclothes etc when washing.

These reusable bags double-fold to seal out air and keep my son's lunches and snacks nice and fresh. They clean up easily, except that the velcro closure stays a bit damp. I bought a second set to make sure there's enough drying time between uses.
The bags are non-toxic for my son (no pvc or phthalate), less toxic to the environment than a boatload of disposable plastic bags. And they'll pay for themselves over time. I would prefer some sort of plastic-free alternative, but the price of this (with Amazon Prime shipping) made it possible for me to start reducing my waste output now, rather than wait until I could afford to pay $15 (including shipping) for something plastic-free.

I love the placemat function of these. Great for when I'm eating away from a table, or need to keep the eating surface clean. The only drawback is that these are a bit hard to clean, and even harder to dry. They do not stay open on their own.

Great for lunches
My son's lunchbox is fairly small and these are perfect for sandwiches and any other lunch items. They are made really well and withstood many hand washings.

great for lunches and snacks
I tried Wrap and Mat for sandwiches but like these much better. They feel more durable and you can see what's inside. They also are easier to wash since they're all plastic. Read more

Good idea, not great design.
When I first opened the snack bag, the velcro ripped off halfway. The double fold design may be tough for kids, causing them to dump their snack.

FreshSnackPack is great!
Love this! No more wasteful baggies! Large is plenty big enough for a "Dagwood" and the small is perfect for half a sandwich or snacks. Tear-resistant and easy to clean.
