I bought the black pearl set for my mom on her birthday and she loved it. The silver clasp is gorgeous the pearls are large and connected on a knotted string. When you hold it in your hand it feels right I don't know much about pearls but it looks a lot more expensive than what I paid for it - definitely a bargain!

This necklace is beautiful, it looks much more expensive that it real is.
I bought it as a gift for my mom's friend and she was absolutley thrilled. Very good value and fast shipping. I highly recommend it to anyone.

Beautiful set of black potatoe pearl necklace and earrings! Purchased for 40th wedding anniversary. Worn in Upscale Restaurant in St Augustine Fla.,Women in store stopped me to ask what boutique I had purchased them in.

I just received this set as a birthday present, and I'm thrilled! The pearls are nicer than the picture, the slight differences in color and shape are much more subtle than expected. The stud pearls are a flattened shape so they sit close to the earlobe, which is nice. And the nice clasp is a bonus. Perfect for the "casual elegance" look that I prefer!

I first bought a set of these for my little sister's birthday. She was so pleased with them that I bought myself a set. These are stunning!! They are large, heavy, lustrous, beautifully shaped (not smooth round but very unique).

The necklace is much heavier than I anticipated and the pearls are enormous. I'm not a freshwater pearl fan but these don't look like or feel like freshwater pearls. These have beautiful pink/purple overtones, and rich deep color. The clasp is secure (maybe a little hard to undo)and attractive enough that it doesn't matter if it shows w/ short hair or an updo.

If I were going to give these as a gift again though I would have them shipped to me and repackage them in a nice velvet box... the box it comes in gives away the price... packaged more elegantly there's no way anyone would guess how little I paid!

This pearl necklace and earring set was more beautiful than expected. I ordered them for myself after seeing a necklace similar in a local store with a price tag of over $800.00 Needless to say I was thrilled when I opened my package and saw the quality of my new necklace and earrings, they were every bit as pretty as the expensive necklace I saw. I would order another set if I had someone to give them to.

They are irregular in shape, but no more so than the picture represents. "Perfect" pearls of this size would be beyond the price range of most people. They are an unbeatable bargain. I purchased them as a birthday gift for my wife (not given yet), but had a lady in the office try them on so I could get a feel for their appearance: it is a short string, and would be a choker on a large neck; but from a "social distance" (as one reviewer commented) the irregularites simply disappear.
One reviewer said they looked "fake"-- I think because the luster and color is so intense. That, to me, is more a mark of quality than a mark of "cheapness"--- the point is, they almost look too good to be real.
Clearly they are more "peacock" than "black," and tend to run more to dark gray, but, to repeat myself, the luster and size more than make up for any color concerns, and the peacock effect is a plus, not a minus.
I think even "pearl snobs" would find this string of pearls remarkable for daytime/dressy casual wear. And I don't think my wife will hesitate to put them on for a night on the town for her birthday.
They are not expensivley packaged, but delivery was fast (and free!), a tough comnbination to beat.
I have also ordered the white ones & if they are comparable, I will be very pleased.

Since real black pearls are currently out of my budget these are a perfect stand in. They look great from social distance (4-6').

I have to say WOW! The photo doesn't do these pearls justice because you can't see how beautiful and colorful these are. Very classy for the price!

the pearls were larger than i expected and one of the earrings broke within days of receiving it. would buy again in a smaller size if i thought the earrings wouldn't break.
