I bought this necklace a few days ago, and it's lovely! The clasp is beautiful and the necklace is gorgeous.

UPDATE (Oct 31, 2011): Unfortunately, two days ago the string broke while I was putting the necklace on. I always took great care of my necklace and I'm so upset that this happened. I shouldn't have to have it restrung after less than 6 months of owning it.

Let me start by saying I am not an experienced pearl purchaser. This was my first purchase, although I have seen many pearls. Overall, I was disappointed. I expect a certain quality product from Amazon and don't feel like these make the cut. The pearls are fairly symmetrical and similar in size. They are however, heavily scratched, pitted, and blemished. These imperfection are easily noticeable within the distance of a casual conversation. For this reason I am uncertain whether I will keep them or return them.

First time pearl buyer. Wanted to get something nice for my girlfriend. Read the reviews on this and I took a chance figuring the odds were in my favor to get a good product. Well I was completely wrong. Two things wrong with this necklace:
1. As soon as I pulled the necklace out of the bag I could noticeably see the imperfections in the pearls at an arms distance. Almost every pearl had pits and what looked like mis-drilled holes. I'm no pearl expert but this looked terrible. Not one pearl was smooth all the way around.
2. The Sterling Silver Clasp is a piece of junk. I could not undo it to open the necklace and it broke on the first attempt.

Bottom line: Do not buy this product.

I purchased the necklace for myself using a gift voucher. I am UK based and shipment from the US was safe and secure and it arrived within a reasonable time.

Quite large pearls, I was surprised. It feels great, not too flashy, not too cheap. Especially at the price I purchased it for I can't complain. Great for the office/meetings, but also for going out.

I love this necklace! My husband got this for me for our anniversary and they're beautiful! They're all a good shape and they hang really nicely.

My husband bought these for me for Christmas and I love them! The clasp is delicate and nicely done. As to the previous complaints, these are farmed fresh water pearls, they arent supposed to be factory cut perfect. The small blemishes make them real. You will only get perfect real pearls if you spend 3 or 4 times the amount of money.

Pearls are elegant - you'll notice the women who run for office all wear them.

This strand of pearls is beautiful, and looks like it should cost 10 times what it actually costs. You can't beat the value. - Stephen

I purchased the 18" freshwater pearl neckless and was shocked how cheap it looked when it arrived. It doesn't have that elegance you associate with wearing pearls and it was very disappointed that it came scraped and scratched.

I was quite nervous about ordering pearls online, especially for such a low price. This necklace is gorgeous! There is nothing wrong with a single pearl. The only issue I have had is the clasp is a bit soft, but this is easily fixed by adjusting the width with just your fingers. I would definitely recommend this necklace to any buyer!
