Contractors, construction workers, and avid do-it-yourself remodelers will want to keep this blade on hand for jobs that call for making cuts in fiber cement products such as paneling, siding, and backer-board.
Offers Maximum Life with PCD-Tipped Design
Expertly developed by James Hardie and Freud Diablo for tackling a variety of fiber cement products, the Freud D1006DH features a proprietary PCD (polycrystalline diamond) tipped design. This blade also boasts spark-eroded TCG (triple-chip grind) teeth, constructed to stand up to dense composites, along with a Perma-Shield Non-Stick Coating that provides resistance to heat and corrosion.
Together, these features give the blade a cutting life that lasts up to 60 percent longer than standard carbide blades.
Produces Smooth, Quiet Cuts with Laser-Cut Kerf
The Freud D1006DH's clean-cutting design means that you can enjoy the comfort of smooth performance. The thin 0.087-inch kerf between the blade's six TCG (triple-chip grind) teeth is laser cut to provide ease of feed, so you have more control over the blade's position. This helps maximize both the accuracy of the cut and the efficiency of your work, so you enjoy a job well done and the ability to complete more tasks in less time.
An added bonus, the blade's laser-cut stabilizer vents reduce noise and vibration during operation, keeping your work environment more relaxed and your hands more in control. This feature also reduces friction and warping, helping to extend the blade's cutting life.
Fits Miter and Table Saws
The Freud D1006DH is a great addition to your workshop because it's designed with the versatility to fit a variety of miter and table saws.
This product is covered by Freud's Limited Lifetime Warranty.

Awesome Diablo Blade for Hardie Siding!,

This review is from: Freud Diablo 10-Inch by 6 Tooth Polycrystalline Diamond Tipped TCG Hardie Fiber Cement Saw Blade 5/8-Inch Arbor Perma-Shield Coated (Tools & Home Improvement)
I am re-siding my entire house by myself with James Hardie Siding and these Diablo blades are the best. I purchased this blade for my 10 inch miter saw and it makes everything so much easier and quicker. I was hesitant to spend so much and was simply buying the cheaper 7 1/4" blades for my circular saw...what a waste of time!
This blade has been through hundereds of cuts in the past few weeks and I would easily pay double what I spent on it! Save yourself the headache and by Diablo! Thanks Freud for making these blades!

We put up the cement board siding on our house and this blade worked great. We were able to use one blade for the entire house and it didn't wear out. The diamond coating cut the boards very cleanly and didn't tear up the edges. Even though the price seems a little high at first you only need one so that it evens out in the end.

I am very pleased with the cuts this blade makes in cement siding. I've used it in my miter saw to make smooth cuts every time. I have learned that it's best to first cut about half way through then make a second pass that goes all the way through. The results are clean with only a rare chip out of the upper surface. This is definitely better that the power shears I tried which tended to end every cut with a break.
