We have been using these bits for years. We use them in our cabinet company and they last about a year through some very tough work. For the money, you cannot beat them. We will be buying them for years to come. Hope this helps those of you thinking of spending twice as much for the same bits. I know.. I have made the mistake more than once on expensive bits. I highly recommend the Freud bits for the money!

Created 18 doors so far and the guide bearing are wonderful. Very little tear out. For those that have created doors without the guide bearing know how hard the set up is to tape wood or screw a guide on. These cut my time by 80% on setup and make clean doors.

The first set of bits performed great and kept there edge a long time after routing a lot of oak, when it came time to replace them I naturally bought another set

I didn't know how much life to expect, but was able to complete 35 oak cabinet doors with one rail & stile set, even with a minor encounter with sandpaper (don't you hate to see that spark in the sawdust?) Bits are still sharp and work well. I've had similar good results with all my Freud bits.

I am wondering why I didn't take time to order this set of bits sooner. I can make cabinet doors in a fraction of the time and now they look professional.

This is my first rail/stile bit sit I've ever used. I mounted the inside bit first (I don't even know which one! The one that makes the groove for the panel...), milled up a couple of pieces of white oak test pieces. Using my jig for my raise panel bit (which is basically a fence, and 1/2" board, which raises the piece above my router table top. I need this because the opening for these bits in my router are not large enough...) I eyeballed the height for the bit. Ran the piece though, PERFECT on the first pass. No burning, no tearout. Perfect.

Replaced the bit with its complement, eyeballed the height, and using a square long board, ran the rail through holding it tight against the guide board. It ran though fine, but the height was slightly off. One adjustment later, I ran it through again, and again the fit was PERFECT!

I highly recommend this set.
