Freud's new thin kerf glue line rip saw blade. This blade's specifically designed triple chip tooth produces extremely smooth true surfaces for gluing and finish work. There is no need for sanding or jointing after the cut. The ideal working range is from 1/8-Inch to 1-Inch thick. With this ultimate ripping blade, there is no need for stabilizers. Blade features Freud's Tico Hi-Density micro grain carbide with Titanium for long life and a flawless finish, Laser-cut anti-vibration Technology reduces noise and extends cutting life, Laser Cut steel blade body for smoother cuts and flatness, and Non-stick Perma-Shield Coating that reduces gumming, rusting, and corrosion for longer life with less wear. Both of my old combination blades had begun to leave burn marks and it was becoming harder to push hardwood through the blade. I decided, after some research, to try the Freud LM75R010 30 tooth Glue Line Rip blade. I wanted cleaner cuts, fewer burn marks, and I wanted hardwood to go through the blade with less effort. I got all that and more, there are no burn marks, my cuts are smooth as glass, and the wood slides through the blade "like butter." Now my rip cuts are as clean and easy as the cross cuts I make with my miter saw and an 80 tooth, high-quality, carbide tipped blade. I typically use a combination blade for ripping. I had noticed some slight burning with a very expensive blade. Amazon had the Freud LM75R010 for under $50 so I got one to try out. I should have done this years ago. Several glue-ups of boards ripped with this blade are indistinguishable from boards that have been jointed and glued. The thin kerf is nice if you are trying to squeeze out a little more width from your stock. I would not hesitate to purchase this blade again.

For the price Freud is my favorite brand of blade.This blade is definitely the smoothest ripping blade I've ever used. Ripped 1x red oak with no issues and left a very smooth cut. It may not give you a perfect glue up finish but it's definitely ready to use without having saw marks to sand out. I only wish I could get prices like this locally, usually when I need it, I need it now.

Two day shipping turned out to be 1 week shipping, fortunately I ordered this ahead of time for bookcases I built for a customer. Still pretty upsetting when some moron left it sitting at a UPS facility for 3 days.
