Using advanced technology, Freud developed this saw blades to feature laser-cut, anti-vibration slots that practically eliminate the vibrations that resonate in standard blades. The combination of High ATB-Tooth design and anti-vibration slots makes these blades the ultimate finish blades. The result is a cut so smooth it eliminates the need for stabilizer or a scoring blade.

Features -
Application-specific super micrograin carbide teeth are 50-60% larger than standard carbide teeth and allow for multiple re-sharpenings. Anti-vibration technology eliminates sideways movement against the material for a quieter, smoother cut with a superior finish and long cutting life. Laser-cut heat expansion slots allow the blade to expand during use to keep the cut true and straight. Permanent red Teflon coating prevents rust and guarantees less working friction and resin adhesion. Precision-tensioned blade bodies made of high strength steel (4045 Rc) stay flat and true throughout years of service. Tri-metal brazing technique produces strong, impact resistant bond between carbide teeth and steel blade body.

I bought this blade because I am making some cabinets out of sheet goods and was worried about chip outs while cutting the veneer. This blade came through in flying colors! Not one chip out. Very smooth cut and the blade is balanced very well. I should get many years out of this blade with occasional sharpening so the price was well worth it.

Freud saw blades are good quality and a good value for the money. Forrest blades may be better, but they cost more. My Freud saw blades and router bits have always served me well.

Very impressive so far. I've been cutting a lot of cabinet grade plywood and these leave no fuzzy edges or tearout. Far superior to a combo blade (even the Forest WWII) for plywood. If you cut plywood you need one of these. I haven't tried other plywood specific blades but I find this one to be great.
