Combination Tooth Design for Versatility and Accuracy
This blade's 50 teeth are arranged in groups of five, each of which includes one flat-top raker tooth for fast, accurate ripping. Each flat tooth is followed by four alternating-top-bevel (ATB) teeth that are particularly well suited to crosscutting, and large gullets between the teeth ensure effective chip clearance.

This blade is designed for optimal performance when crosscutting materials that are 3/4 to 3-1/2 inches thick, or ripping materials that are 3/8 to 1-1/2 inches thick. It makes quick work of hard- and softwood, plywood, and chipboard. It can also handle laminates or tackle thinner or thicker materials. However, some loss of surface finish may occur when it is used outside its ideal range. It has a 5/8-inch arbor and produces a 0.126 kerf.

This Freud blade is precision balanced and pretensioned for truer cuts under heavy loads. It also features laser-cut, anti-vibration slots that reduce chatter for a cleaner finish, longer blade life, and reduced noise while you work. And because the entire blade is laser cut from high-strength steel, you can trust that it will stay stable, flat, and true, even after prolonged use. Furthermore, this well-balanced, anti-vibration design means there's no need to use add-on stabilizers with this blade.

High-Density Carbide for Maximum Cutting Performance
This combination saw blade's 50 teeth are finished with tips made from Freud's application-specific TiCo high-density carbide "combination blend." Formulated to help the blade maintain a sharp cutting edge for longer when faced with a variety of applications, this blend includes just a little bit more high-density tungsten carbide than other TiCo blends. And it still offers the full mix of improved corrosion resistance, heat resistance, and impact resistance that you expect from TiCo.

With teeth that start out sharper and deliver improved edge retention, the blade can go longer between sharpening, and will hold up longer--saving you time and money.

Silver I.C.E. Coating Resists Corrosion, Heat, and Resin Buildup
This blade is finished with Freud's Silver I.C.E. coating, which resists corrosion for improved performance over time. This unique coating also resists heat buildup, protecting your saw and your work surface and preventing the blade from warping. It also helps prevent resin or "pitch" buildup.

Since gummy pitch buildup causes extra drag on the motor of your saw, less buildup means longer tool life and longer blade life. It also means less downtime for blade cleaning, so you get jobs done faster.

In many woodworking shops, one saw must serve multiple purposes such as rip a piece of 4/4 oak and also crosscut a sheet of 3/4" plywood. This 10" combination carbide-tipped blade meets the challenge. The blades groups of five teeth include one flat tooth for ripping, followed by four alternate top bevel teeth for crosscutting, plus a large gullet for effective chip clearance. The blade also features laser cut anti-vibration slots, practically eliminating the vibration that resonates in standard blades. Based on my brother's recommendation and the much better price available here, I got this blade awhile back (maybe two years ago?) and it has been working great for me. I don't use it a lot, but often enough. It's nice to know the cut is going to be clean and straight each time. Unless they're making even better ones now (can't imagine anything much better after watching a demonstration of this blade cutting a paper thin edge off of a piece of wood, smooth and clean as can be. I can still do that today! I don't think you can go wrong with this blade if it's the size and style you want and can find it at a reasonable price. I highly recommend it!

I have had, generally, very good results, in the past, with Freud Saw Blades. This new blade, honestly, was somewhat dissapointing. The new blade leaves saw marks that must be jointed or sanded... in similar blades, Freud products, I have bought in the past the blades seemed to be of higher quality of cut than this blade. Crosscuts are better than rip cuts. This blade is good, not exceptional.

We have been running these in our cabinet shop for over a year now, and they are awesome. previously we used forrest wwII. These run circles around forrest. They stay sharp forever!! I paid $75.00 for mine, worth every penny, but at $52.00?? thats a steal.
