I bought this blade in May of 2001 and have built several furniture projects with it. I like hard maple, and this blade has done a fantastic job regardless of whether I'm crosscutting or ripping. I keep waiting for the blade to get dull, but last week I made a picture frame out of cherry, and the miter cuts still came out very smooth. I thought of buying a separate rip blade and crosscut blade, but I really don't see a need with this combination blade.

I recently decided to move out of the dark ages and purchase some decent shop equipment. I did my homework and ended up with a great deal on a Jet table saw, sans blade... That is when I decided to hunt for something to mount on the bare arbor. I started my research in Epinions and read what others had to say on various blades... Since my experience as a woodworker has always required 1/2" putty... I wanted a blade that would allow me to turnout a decent cut. I read numerous articles on Forrest blades which according to others, are the creme de creme of blades. They also cost twice as much as the Freud. Since the house manager was monitoring my shop purchases most carefully I thought the Freud a prudent compromise. I was not disappointed. The blade is quiet and does a most excellent job. Cutting plywood panels left a smooth edge that required no sanding. I am getting another one for my new Delta miter saw. The Delta blade that came with my miter saw cuts like an ax... Do yourself a favor and buy a Freud!

I just put this blade on my Delta table saw. My old Delta blade (exact same design as this Freud) was 15 years old and in bad shape, so I can't really compare the two. But this blade cuts very smooth, and even takes pretty good care of oak plywood. This blade was a little bit more than the equivalent Delta. I picked this because of all the other positive reviews of Freud blades, the teflon coating, and the laser cut. It's a pleasure to use.

I purchased this blade a few weeks ago and put it on my new Hitachi C10FL table saw. I've always had good experience with Freud products and this blade isn't much of an exception. It is a hefty piece of steel and overall well made. The carbide teeth are THICK which will allow many resharpenings. It is a GOOD blade, but NOT "excellent". For general purpose use that will give acceptable results it certainly lives up to its manufacturer ratings for various types of cuts in different material. A few important points to note, however. There is splintering on the end of a cross cut, I suspect this is mostly due to the flat top grind raker tooth as my "low budget" Lowes bought Freud combo blade with all ATB teeth leaves a cleaner cross cut. The Teflon coating seems to be more of a hindrance than a blessing. It is not perfectly flat in all places, and seems to clog the anti vibration slots in the blade body. Also, the coating has worn off where the arbor washers contact it - I carefully sanded the coating away in this area. The blade does not vibrate at all, and I feel stiffeners aren't necessary though they can't hurt I'm sure. Although I am not sorry I bought this blade, I will be purchasing either a Forrest blade or two separate blades - rip and crosscut in order to get the perfect result for each type of cut. My recommendation would be to go with the LU84M011 blade instead - doesn't have the unhelpful Teflon coating and is ten dollars cheaper.

Very happy with this purchase. I know there is not one blade for every job, but for clean rip and crosscuts, this is great choice. I do not own a jointer, so I need clean cuts that require a minimal amount of finishing prior to gluing. This blade is full kerf, which bogs my saw down a bit, but the trade off is that it is very stable.

I was given an old craftsman tablesaw by my dad probably with the original blade. I replaced the fence and aligned everything but was still frustrated with the lack of power of the saw. Changing to this blade did make a dramatic difference. No, it didn't make the saw perform like a delta or jet tablesaw, but it did make my 1.5hp saw usable for a weekend garage woodworker.

I initially purchased this for my radial arm saw. When my Unisaw came in, I moved this blade to that machine and put the Delta blade on the radial arm. It really does a nice job and you can't beat the price. I've been happy with all of my Freud purchases. If I had money to burn, maybe I'd try a Forrest, but for now, I don't see the point. It does a nice job on cross cutting and ripping. No complaints.

This is an excellent blade both for rips and crosscuts. I havecut hardwood, softwood, mdf, and plywood and have had great success with virtually splinter free edges an all cuts. For the money you can't get a better combo blade.

I got this blade when they were giving away the stabilizers with the purchase. After using an Amazon $25 gift certificate the whole thing cost me $15. For that price this is a great blade. If your fence is square and you feed properly this blade leaves a jointer quality edge. I have never owned a Forrest blade so I can't compare the two. However, I can't imagine a better quality cut for the price.
