About Freud Industrial Blades
Freuds industrial series blades were designed for the serious woodworker. Available in a variety of styles for different applications, LU blades feature thick carbide tips, precision-tensioned bodies found in every Freud quality blade. Some LU blades include a red Teflon coating that helps reduce friction, heat build-up, and gumming -- which prolongs the life of the blade.
About this Miter Saw Blade
The Freud 10-Inch 60-Tooth sliding compound miter saw blade provides a superior finish cut with both slide and non-sliding compound miter saws. A 5-degree negative hook prevents the blade from being too aggressive and helps push the work piece down and towards the fence; and the Perma-Shield coating helps make the blade resistant to friction and heat buildup. This blade is compatible with the Hitachi C8FB, Makita LS1011, and radial-arm saws for reduced climbing while crosscutting softwood, hardwood, or moldings.
Applications
This is a fine finish blade for sliding miter and radial arm saws. Use it to crosscut softwood, hardwood, or moldings.

Outstanding Radial Arm Saw Blade,
By Donnie Tew (United States) - See all my reviews
This review is from: Freud LU91R010 10-Inch 60 Tooth ATB Thin Kerf Miter Saw Blade with 5/8-Inch Arbor and PermaShield Coating (Tools & Home Improvement)
This blade has made me decide to keep my Radial Arm Saw instead of selling it. The negative hook made such a huge difference in reducing climb cutting that I wondered if it were too good to be true. The finish on the cut is glass smooth. If you have a radial arm or a sliding miter saw give this blade a try.

I put this blade on my Craftsman radial arm saw and it completelychanged the way I feel about that saw. Now the thing cuts like a hot knife through butter. The cross cuts leave end grain so smooth you'd swear you were feeling a sanded surface with the grain. Ok, maybe not that smooth, but still, pretty darn smooth. I haven't tried any other fancy or expensive blades, but this blade put my old cross cutting blades to shame. Highly recommended.

I bought this blade based on reviews here after looking at several much more expensive blades. I've been using it to trim out a house in a very cheap (Delta MS250) mitre saw and it has really exceeded all my expectations. I've made hundreds of cuts in PFJ millwork with almost zero tearout. I've since bought a couple other Freud blades that I've been very happy with. I do have to say that I am a noob at this and my only other hands on experience is with the blades that came in my saws (all cheap ones!)
