Solid rosewood makes this tools beautiful and useful. One side of this gauge allows layout of dovetails and mortise/tenon in just one pass, because it has one moveable pin. The other side has just one pin for a single reliable scribe mark. Solid rosewood body with brass hardware and wear plates is very attractive as well as functional. Lines as far as 6-1/2-inch from the edge can be accurately scribed. Overall length is 8-1/2-inch.

This item is well built and functions as expected. It is particularly useful in that I was unable to locate this insrument at any hardware stores near my home. It is a must for precise joinery and I am very happy that I purchased it.

This is a great product for the price. I've been using mine to help make handcut dovetails. Plus it's from Freud who, at least in all of my purchases, has always delivered a product that was exactly as stated.

This has a great feel of quality and should have been at home in a custom wood box. The moving scribe and the locking brass knob are a precsion fit. This is a pro kool tool.
