I have been doing finish carpentry and trim over 15 years and the Avanti blades are without a doubt the best trim blades I have found. The 7 1/4" will cut finish plywood usind a circular saw with no tear out at all.

I purchased this blade for my father who worked in the construction industry all his life. He is a pro at any woodworking project and recently decided to finish his basement in his home. Mom (the painter/finisher of the team) was upset as his old blade splintering and making uneven cuts. We changed to the Avanti and the remaining joints required no sanding or filling whatsoever. We've used it on everything from pressure treated lumber to the finest hardwood trim and the blade stays clean and cool. Great Product!

I was really impressed with this blade when it was new. From the first day I installed it my cuts were precise and smooth. Now after trimming just one house and a few small jobs it is dull and cuts are just average. My Marathon blades cut nicer for longer and are still running sharp after much more use then this Freud.

A few years ago, I trimmed a house with large MDF crown and baseboard and didn't want to cut it flat in a smaller saw, so I bought this blade for my Dewalt slider (if I remember correctly, this blade was $80 or more then).
I usually don't like to do trim with the 12" Dewalt Slider, but for paint grade, the joints don't have to be perfect, and it's a good thing because this blade flexes A Lot, even more than other thin kerf blades I've used.
As the previous 3 star reviewer noted, this blade cuts OK at first but dulls out quickly.
The cuts were so horrible by the end of the job, I set the blade aside and never ended up using it again.
Just recently I was cleaning out a bunch of tools, and a friend needed a saw and blade to do some DIY flooring.
I loaned him an old Ridgid 12" saw and this blade. He was NOT happy with me for giving him this blade.
This blade may do OK if used in wood only (I doubt it though), but it does not last in MDF.
The Makita blade that came stock on my LS1016L is 10x better and it's only a 60 tooth combo blade.
Even now that the price has come way down, I cannot recommend this blade, even as a one job throw away. For $30, I would recommend giving the Makita 12" 60 Tooth Micro Polished Blade a shot. If the Makita 12" blade is half as good as the Makita 10", its still 10x better than this Avanti blade.

I received the saw blade very quickly. The packaging wasn't the best, but it survived the trip ok. It could have been some rough handling by the carrier.

Anyway, the blade cuts wonderfully. My miter saw sounds a lot quieter than it did with the rough cut blade I used to have on it. The cuts are very, very smooth, and the the splintering is very minimal. This is an outstanding saw blade. I would highly recommend it to anyone.

This is a great blade. It seams to stay sharp. I put a Dewalt slider. Nice smooth cut You can't beat it for the price. It is nice when they put blade on sale.That way they don't cost an arn aqnd leg. I purchased a Forrest CM12806115 Chopmaster 12-Inch 80-tooth ATB Miter Saw Blade for about $130.00 and was not that impressed for the money, so thought I would give the Avanti a try for $55.00, did not expect much, and was extremely surprised. This blade leaves a glass cut with little to no chip out. Although this blade is not expected to last as long as the Forrest should, when it does wear out I can afford to buy another one and another one. Freud makes a great product at a reasonable price.

Freud can build a saw blade....period. My shop runs 10" and 12" saws all equipped with Freud blades, Diablo's to be exact, But for precision cuts on the 12" saw the Avanti is the best. the Diablo is too thin and flexes on impact with harder wood. Very happy and recommend to anyone in the 12" model.

My husband had me buy this for his shop. He was amazed at the great price. This is a real quality blade. He still has all his fingers!
