Frida is one of my all time favorite painters, male or female, for reasons to numerous to list. This calendar includes flawless colors and a great variety of paintings spanning the majority of her turbulent life. Although a bit graphic (some months) to have in the kitchen, I have proudly placed it in my office to remind me of the power of experience and imagination. Kudos to Universe Publishing for this gem!

I recently did a presentation on Frida Kahlo for my Art History class. Before doing my research, I didn't know much about her or her works of art. I'm so glad I learned about her! This calendar showcases twelve of her great paintings, ranging from simple to strange. They're all beautiful. I highly recommend this to all Frida Kahlo fans and lover's of art!
