5.0 out of 5 stars Finally the actual Theme of FNL !!!
Finally the opening theme is here.
The soundtrack is very good, but the main reason to buy this CD is the FNL opening theme.

2.0 out of 5 stars friday night lights soundtrack -vol 2
Sorry to say, much awaited but without the characters and the context, I am disappointed. The sense of the moment is what makes the music work rather than the music itself.

5.0 out of 5 stars I am blown away by this soundtrack, June 17, 2010

First off, I NEVER write reviews on things... But, I just cannot get enough of this album! The people that compiled the tracks really did a wonderful job. My favorite track on the record is "Percussion Gun" by the White Rabbits. I haven't listened to another soundtrack, for a movie or tv show, where I genuinely loved EVERY single track on the album. From Jakob Dylan's "Something Good This Way Comes" to to A.A. Bondy's "Killed Myself When I Was Young" all the way to older favorites of mine like Augustana's "Fire" and Band of Skulls' "I Know What I Am".... this records seriously ROCKS IT. Bottom line, I've had it on repeat in my car since I first purchased it in May! I HIGHLY reccomend this buy.... Whether it's a gift for someone else or a gift for yourself, I can pretty much guarantee that you'll dig it!!!

5.0 out of 5 stars Touchdown, May 20, 2010
From the pop of "Percussion Gun" to the serenely beautiful "If It's The Beaches," the FNL Soundtrack Vol. 2 is a wonderful example of how in tune Music Supervisors (in this case Liza Richardson) are to quality indie music.

5.0 out of 5 stars Wow, December 26, 2010
This soundtrack really leaps out and grabs you. It's a little,... let's say "melancholy" - but it's fantastic. I gave it 5 out of 5 stars and if it was a 0-100 range I'd give it a 100. It's really that good.

Most of the songs we didn't recognize, the theme song is the last track and is 45 seconds long, yes 45 seconds. They didn't write a whole song? Very disappointing for $15.99. The show is far better than this.

Really a great soundtrack. I love the entire thing. It's really well put together and a pleasure to just let run either in your CD player, Ipod, or car :D
