Can't wait to try more,

I had never heard of Bonnie Stern when I came across this book at my local used book store. I quickly flipped through, and the menus she presents were pretty mouthwatering. When I got home that night, I made the blueberry cobbler for dessert, mostly so I could use up some leftover buttermilk. Oh. My. Gosh. It was incredible. Warm, sweet berries with a soft cakey biscuit topping and a little bit of crunch from demerara sugar. Who knew something so simple could be so good?? I can't wait to try something else...maybe the brisket dinner? The Italian menu? Mix and match? It all looks fabulous.

I have a few of Bonnie Stern's cookbooks, so, I know her recipes are tried, true and delicious. I have not been disappointed yet with anything I have prepared from her cookbooks. The recipes I have tried so far frin Friday Night Cookbooks have come out wonderful--the Challah and Baba Ghanouj. This is the book I refer to when I want to prepare something delicious and special for guests.
