I love CSI Miami great show
but disappointed that cbs is only letting the show create 19 episodes
it should be a full season here is the info
On May 18, 2011, CBS renewed the series for a tenth season. The tenth season premiered in the United States on September 25, 2011.

On February 1, 2012, it was announced that CSI: Miami's tenth season would end after nineteen episodes, to make room for the debut of NYC 22.
why they couldn't wait for after CSI to finish airing
then air the shows of NYC 22

I absolutely love cSI Miami! I have not missed an episode yet. I really hope season 10 isn't the last season like rumors are saying. Just when a show is getting even better they go and take it away. Anyway I have all season on DVD I cannot wait to own this on DVD as well!

Another solid season for Miami. Caruso is his same, almost cartoonish, self as Horatio - but, let's face it, he's what makes this show so enjoyable. It doesn't take itself too seriously and either does he. The only thing that could improve it is to bring back Tim Speedle! His character was the best! The only problem with this season is that it has been cut short and will be finishing after 19 episodes instead of the usual 24. I hope this doesn't signal the end for this show and I also hope that the reduced season means that the DVD season will be released sooner than the usual September release date (and a reduced price tag to compensate for the fewer episodes would be handy too!). Roll on season 11.

The cancellation of CSI Miami was inexplicable. The show has been getting better with each season unlike its counterparts, CSI: Las Vegas and CSI: New York which have become unbearable to watch. If anything, CSI: LV deserved the axe as it has become the palest shadow of its former self. But this is not the first time a bad decision has been made and sadly will not be the last.

This is in my view the best "C.S.I." show, beautifully shot, & the most entertaining, I still can't believe this one is no longer being produced, yet the original "Vegas" one (which has overstayed its welcome) is still on, one reason I believe is that the cast wanted more money, unlike "Vegas", this one still retained most of it's cast members, however, this one I think ended on a good note, however Haratio never got Sarius (Kim Coates), a despicable villian from previous seasons, which was a disappointment, this one does give us a more human side to Calleigh Ducane (Emily Proctor) whose maternal instincts kick in as she seeks to adopt two children but worries about the demands of her career as a police officer, all in all a good final season, this one only got better with time.

If you want to watch CSI Miami, season 10, I recommend you avoid the DVD version and upgrade to Blu-Ray now as the TV studios obviously want. The picture quality of TV on DVD is on a downward slide for many series. The TV studios are deliberately shipping DVD discs with inferior video to kill the format and to make Blu-Ray look better than it is. Here, the DVDs are so blurry I can't watch them. I CAN'T SEE WHAT IS HAPPENING! I own most, possibly all seasons of CSI Miami on DVD; the early seasons are fine, 10 is a visual mess.

SEA HUNT Season One on DVD ©1958 *underwater* has sharper picture quality than CSI MIAMI Season Ten DVDs. I'm not joking: if you don't believe me, check it for yourself! CBS wants us on Blu-Ray.

I have yet up upgrade my viewing to Blu-Ray; but there may also be another factor at play. Remember first generation STAR TREK, where the close-up shots of the sexy female guest star would be shot through a lens that made her look sexier by blur? David Caruso would look like a wrinkled grandfather if Blu-Ray did a high-resolution close-up on his face; and Emily Procter is also getting up there in years. I suspect a state-of-the-art optical lens during shooting supplies just the right blur for the Blu-Ray discs to obscure the age of the stars, knocking the actual viewing experience back down into the DVD realm; but the studio can't ship the exact same viewing experience on both DVD and Blu-Ray discs, so the studio adds an additional digital blur to the DVD discs.

Can you say, time for a Class Action Suit?

The final season of CSI Miami is darker and drearier than previous seasons. I'm not sure why they went this direction, as I personally always enjoyed the almost humorous tone to some of the shows. This time around, Horatio is still the changed man, willing to beat up prisoners or let them fall to their death. I found that particularly telling, as I remember an early season where he scrambles to save a child molester/murderer so he can stand trial. This time around, he watches the child creep fall to his death. A new Horatio (as of last season). I don't mind that, but the shows weren't particularly interesting or well done.

I thought the episode was one of the best in some time. It was good to see more of Horatio and to see his late wife Marisol again. My only negative is that you see Horatio who has been shot having a tough time and even bleeding again and Eric, Calleigh and the others (with the exception of Nat) never once ask H. how he is doing or suggest he needs to be back in the hospital. That makes no sense. Sure they can't make their boss go but you'd think they would show some concern. They acted like they didn't even know he'd been hurt. Still the episode is worth watching over.
