Banal plot and equally banal artwork,

This review is from: Friendly Neighborhood Spider-Man, Vol. 1: Derailed (v. 1) (Paperback)
This will not appeal to anyone above the age of 16. First the artwork. Definitely an attempt to create a juvenile version of Spiderman to appeal to the manga market segment.
The plot here is quite awful. Spiderman has to wrestle a villain known as Muerto, and later against El Dorado. Both villains are dressed and act like outcasts from WWF. Then they revive Uncle Ben Parker who gets jealous when he discovers Aunt May dating Jarvis the Avengers butler. Oh brudder...
