Wow..........that's all I can say is WOW!!!!!,

This review is from: Friends Forever Special: Everything Changes (Paperback)
I loved this book! It was so much more realistic then the Baby-sitters' Club! There were four different teens so there are four different stories!Mary Anne is still coming to terms that her house and all her things burned down. Stacey has to struggle with the fact that her father suddenily dissoproves of her older boyfriend, plus the fact that her father and his girlfriend's relationship has become VERY serious. I like these books because instead of saying "This is sooooo boring!" you say "Yeah I can relate to that!" I'm happy that this isn't just about the BSC! You'll deafnitely see all different kinds of plots in this new series. This is the stuff teens can relate to! Everything Changes! Thanks Ann!

WOW!,
This review is from: Friends Forever Special: Everything Changes (Paperback)
I really applaud Ann M. Martin for coming up with this series. I have read the BSC books since I was in third grade. Once I started buying them, I couldn't stop. After I had over one hundred of them, including Super Specials and Mysteries, my mom said no more. I'm in eleventh grade now, and I still read those books, only because I've half memorized them at this point, and I have no other books right now. I've always thought that the original series wasn't so realistic, especially once I got to be the ages of the girls. They were still fun to read though. But it was getting old having them go through the same stuff every time. I haven't had a chance to read CA diaries yet, but I will. I've flipped through them, though, and they're pretty tempting. BSC Friends Forever is the best. I bought Everything Changes during the summer because I figured I may as well see exactly what changes. I'm very pleased, and I think that it is much more realistic then the original series. I can't find my copy of it right now, but I'm looking like crazy! I know it's around somewhere. THANKS, ANN!

Okay book,

This book was okay a bit boring though. Also the girls they used on the front for Kristy and Mary Anne look so young. Kristy looks about nine and Mary Anne looks about 11. Claudia and Stacey are the only ones who look 13. I can't believe Kristy stopped talking to Abby after she told her she was leaving the club how childish. It was confusing as it was in letters, emails and diary entrys. I normally love these sorts of books but Ann didnt do a very good job of it and should stick to narration ones.

Okay, but not the best,
This review is from: Friends Forever Special: Everything Changes (Paperback)
When I started reading this book, I thought it was going to be really different and better then the old babysitters club. It was quite good, but I think the new series will be better then this super edition. I thought so many members leaving all at once was a bit sudden- some of them should have left earlier. I also found it confusing since it was all written in letters and diary enteries. I think the series is changing for the better, but this book isn't the best of the new series

I HAVE BEEN READING THE BSC BOOKS SINCE I WAS IN 3RD GRADE (I AM IN 7TH NOW) FOR A WHILE THESE GIRLS WERE MY ROLE MODELS, BUT AS A GOT CLOSER TO THEIR AGE, I RELIZED "THIS IS NOTHING LIKE REAL LIFE!!!" I PICKED UP THIS BOOK TO SEE WHAT IT WAS LIKE AND I WAS SOOO SUPRISED! IT WAS ACTUALLY REALISTIC, LIKE THE CALIFORNIA DIARIES. I LOVE THESE! ANN, YOU GAINED BACK YET ANOTHER READER!! YOU HAVE GOT TO READ THIS BOOK, PEOPLE!!!

This book was like okay. Even though, I have to admit that I liked some other books in the series a little better, such as Kristy's Big News, Friends Forever #1. Don't take my words wrong, this book is neat. Again, as all the other Baby Sitters Club books, I suggest you to read it.

a rather disappointing book in a marvelous series,

This book was weak. The fragmented segments Kristy used were hard to follow and left something to be desired in the form of Kristy's usual forthright storytelling. There was little movement among the characters, Kristy and Mary Anne wrote letters back and forth, as did Claudia and Stacey, but that was as much interaction as there was. The book also left me slightly upset for more reasons than its poor writing. First of all, Ann M. Martin is introducing her liberal morals to what should be innocent childrens literature (the possibility of Stacey's dad having a live-in girlfriend). I guess it scares me when we begin to feed our children such immoral lines with so callous an attitude. Secondly, while the core members of the club remain, "everything changes" sort of rips the club apart. I realize that Ms. Martin is attempting to make a new start with her series, but I think that having sixty percent of the members (6) knocked out so quickly she really weakens not only the club, but the series. What is loyalty? Who knows anymore. I just hope the rest of the books improve, or Ann M. Martin is on a down hill ride.
