Has it's moments, April 11, 2010

Had never heard of the artist, etc, but then again I'm no longer living in Seattle ( :( ). Heard a couple tracks from the album used in an episode of Dog the Bounty Hunter and decided to pick up the CD and give it a listen. The disc won't be one of my "go-to" pieces, but it certainly has it's moments. I appreciate artists "putting themselves out there" and really don't think it's my place to criticize, etc, especially if they happen to follow the reviews. I guess the advice I'd offer would be that I've probably listened to the disc five or six times through now and while there aren't any real stand out "clinkers", there aren't any real stand out "I really like thats". There seems to be an unevenness to several (most) of the tracks like they're being written by committee who were each guaranteed a "voice". That said, there are still some catchy tracks and catchy moments on others.
