Lacks integrity of first album,

While most second or third efforts are often different from their predecessors, much too often does a punk/hardcore band go too downhill from its first or first few cds. This, sadly enough, is one of them. While this is a decent album, it just does not compare with So Far From Home. The lyrics aren't just as good as on the aforementioned Reach the Sky album and neither is it as melodiously good. Not only that, but Ian's singing just isn't as good as it was before. As for the disc in general, this is, as I said before, a good album. Does it stand out from other hardcore albums? Possibly. Is it as good as So Far From Home? Not remotely. But it isn't bad either.

this is an excellent cd. if you are like me, you are beginning to get tired of the same old same old. This is like nothing ive ever heard before. this is a weird mix between hardcore and emo. you can tell the singer is pouring his heart and soul into this record, and not a word wasted. The higlights are The Sadness Alone, The Truth so Familiar, Sunday Morning Awake, and Good Bye and Good Luck, but all are excellent. If you are looking for something a little bit different and offbeat, do yourself a favor and pick up this cd.
