Heartwarming yet disheartening all at the same time,

This review is from: Friends for Life: The Story of a Holocaust Survivor and His Rescuers (Paperback)
This was a great memoir of Louis Goldman's experience during the Holocaust. It makes you realize how much we all take our way of life for granted. Louis and his family lived through a terrible ordeal yet found love and kindness of strangers along the way. It's so heartwarming because of the beauty of love and sincerity of strangers and yet disheartening because of what many Jews had to endure. I would wholeheartedly recommend this book. It's a good lesson on history of both love and hate.

This review is from: Friends for Life: The Story of a Holocaust Survivor and His Rescuers (Paperback)
This book is a heartwarming read for those interested in brave people who helped to save lives during some of the most atrocious actions World War II. It demonstrates the goodness of the human spirit despite ethnic or racial differences as well as the selflessness of people who recognized the evil that was being perpetrated.
