My friends and I are obsessed with Friends - like, so obsessed that we've never missed an episode, can quote it at the drop of a hat, etc. Needless to say, we were really excited to try the game out!!

The game rules are simple, you go around the board trying to get "items" from the Friends apartments (ex: Phoebe's guitar, Ross' keyboard, etc.) by answering questions. For each question answered correctly you get an "item" - you have to get one from each Friend to win the game. There are also charades (which are pretty much impossible to do without props!) My only complaint about the game is: it seems to be very cheaply made. Some of the questions aren;t numbered, written upside down, and some of the answers are followed by question marks (ex: What's Phoebe's dorky boyfriend's name? Answer: David?) - so does that mean the people who made up the questions don't even know? And, the other thing, my friends and I are really obsessed, and found some wrong answers on the cards.

I know it sounds like I hate the game, and I haven't said one good thing about it. It is really fun, and pretty challenging. The most fun is the charades, because they're sooooooo difficult! As I said though, if you're not a huge fan of the show, don't play the game. Some of the questions are really hard (ex: What is the name of the record store across the street from Central Perk?), and others are really simple (ex:What is Chandler's middle name? & Which of the Friends mother killed herself?). I recommend the game for hardcore fans of the show. It's insanely fun!

I am a HUGE Friends fan and bought this game thinking that it would be fun. After playing it, I am disappointed that I even bought this game, as it is not at all what I expected.

The game comes in a large tin which is mostly full of a large, plastic insert that holds all the game components--trivia cards, coffee card, game board, item score sheets, instructions and game pieces. This game could easily have fit in a much smaller container. The game as a whole is durable, but the prized "coffee card" will not last for very long. It needs to be laminated as it rips and tears very easily. The game pieces are your standard colored, plastic pegs (similar to Sorry or Clue) but are made of a much cheaper/lower quality plastic. The game board is a four-fold game board and there is also a pad of item score sheets.

The instructions are very vague with complex rules that can be difficult to understand. It takes 3-4 rounds for everyone to feel comfortable with the rules and to stop referencing the instructions. One major complaint is that some player's turns end up being several minutes long due to the poorly designed rules. You need to wait for a player to get a question wrong before the next player can have a turn. If you're playing with more than 3 people, the turns can get very long--especially if a player gets some easy questions.

The object of the game is to collect objects from all the Friends apartments and mark them off on the item score sheet. You can only collect certain items from specific Friends apartments. The restrictions are hidden in the rules and it would be better if they were printed on the item score sheets. I don't understand the point of these item sheets. It seems pointless to mark off a page of items when it would be so much easier just to keep score. The item score sheets are just an un-needed element that adds to the complexity of the game.

I have seen every episode several times, but some of the questions are really tough. There are a lot of questions about things that are in the background that you would never notice or about minor characters that appeared on the show. There are roughly 200 question cards with 5 questions on each card and a Charades option. That makes roughly 1,000 questions for the game and 200 Charade options. Several questions are even repeated on several cards. However, I think that there should be a lot more question cards for a "trivia" game about a show that has been on tv for over 9 years.

After playing this game several times, you start getting some of the cards that were already read for previous questions. The Charades option (if you roll a star) can be fun to act out if you have decent action, but for the most part, the Charades are too difficult to act out without speaking or giving a clue to the other players.

Overall, the game is so-so. The complexity of the rules & instructions, as well as the small amount of trivia cards that come with the game, is why I rated this so low. I don't think that I will play this game all that much. It is not what I expected and it's just as fun and enjoyable to read the questions without playing the complex game.

If you loved watching Friends, you will love playing this trivia game. I watched EVERY episode at least 3x and I still don't get all the answers so it is good that it is not super easy. For teens to adults. Highly recommend for any Friends fan, and makes a great gift.

If you're obsessed with Friends, like me, you'll most likely love this game. You won't have fun with it, though, if you haven't watched the show frequently, because most of the questions are regarding a certain episode.

You don't even need to play it with the board to have fun. Sometimes my friend(s) and I just quiz each other with the cards. Sometimes, when I'm bored to death, I just quiz myself.

This game is totally worth it for any Friends fan!

After having read many of the reviews here, I wasn't sure what to expect of the game. It looked like it could really be a bust. Surprisingly, the questions seemed to have a good range of pretty easy to mind-numbing, which is what you want for a trivia game.
As for the rules, they are a little confusing. The whole notion of going around from room to room to collect items on your pad makes little sense in the grand scheme of thing, because everyone has to collect one item from each of the six friends. You may want to try what I've done instead, and that is use downloaded pictures of the cast members and collect them from room-to-room. You're accomplishing the same task as you would when you follow the official rules, but eliminating a cumbersome level of everyone rolling the die at the beginning. It also eliminates the need for pencils and the pad that comes with the game This way, you can only get the coffee cup by winning a charade, making that a more important part of the overall game play than it currently is under the official rules.
The business with umbrellas on the pad isn't particuarly clear, either, so it's best to just disregard them.
Basically, I think if you've seen the episodes many times, you should enjoy the game. If you're a casual viewer you won't do well.

This game is meant for friends fanatics only. It is a little hard to understand the rules initially and we were a little confused. However once we started playing we figured it out. The game is not very well thought out as one player's turn can go on for many minutes while other players have absolutely no involvement. And as we said before if you are not a die-hard friends fan you will not be able to answer these questions nor will you appreciate this game. Overall if you watch FRIENDS religiously it is alot of fun!

Well, to tell you the truth, I was getting pretty frustrated that this game had not come out yet already. I was so frustrated that I actually was starting to create my own version, which I might add was a lot easier to understand rule wise and was going to have a much better game board.

However, I have fully enjoyed playing this version of "Friends" Trivia. I have yet to lose, and one time, I actually never lost my turn and won without anyone else getting to play. It was TWIRLY and in a good way! I do suggest this game to all "Friends" addicts.

I will warn you though. Card #32 has a wrong answer.

Oh, and the key to the Charades is to give each character a certain characteristic. For us, it's: Monica=scrubbing motion, Ross=make dinosaur hands and face, Rachel=primping, Chandler=laughing, Phoebe=playing guitar, and Joey=eating a sandwich.

Oh, and can anyone tell me what episode Chandler and Rachel eat cheesecake while sitting on the floor? That is a Charade, and I had no clue about that one.

I bought this game thinking that it would be easy since I have seen every episode at least 3 times, but some questions really stumped me. Some of the hardest questions that I found were things that were no so obvious in the episode. I love the Charades, that can be a lot of fun to act out. The game is durable itself but the coffee card is not, I can see this getting lost or ripped. Overall, it is fun but I don't think that I will play it that much. It is not what I expected. The tokens are a bit cheesey. The instructions are a bit vague and the sheets that you mark off items are fine but there is no good reason for the items, you could just keep score. I thought that you would actually collect these items as tokens like in Clue, but you do not.

I expected to be challenged by this game. There were some very good questions, some so good that they were slightly rewritten and repeated. I found the charades part to be impossible. I have seen every show at least four times, so it wasn't that I didn't know what they were talking about. The charades were just too complicated to perform without saying anything. In addition to the many mistakes in grammar and spelling, one question in particluar proved to be a huge disappointment. The questions is simple: "Name the six member cast of Friends." I think we all know the answer to that, but sadly the answer on the card is incorrect. They failed to include David Schwimmer! Hardly the trivia challenge I expected.

My wife and I are HUGE friends fans. For us the game was very fun. We got together with some other Friends fans and played. The one problem with the game is it appears to have been put together without much thought. The only thing that is actually fun is the questions.

The game comes in a nice tin that makes you think the game is very high quality. This is not true. Some of the questions are printed upside down. Most of them are numbered (some are not). This did not seem to bother any of the other players besides me. I think that if you pay this money on a game you might as well proofread it. As I said earlier the questions are very fun and actually worth the price alone to a true fan. I have seen every episode and the questions are a good mix of difficulty.

Since this is the only Friends game out there I just think they could have spent a little more time for it and made it a good collectible if not a good game.
