I purchased this hoping for a book to help me take friendship bracelets to the next level -- with patterns, incorporating beads, etc.

The patterns are only the most basic -- nothing more intricate.

Yes, there are lots of ideas for creating jewelry using just braiding and basic knotting -- incorporating findings and clasps. But the jewelry ideas weren't what I was expecting from the description, were not attractive to me, and I was not inspired.

This book should have been called, "Jewelry Ideas With Threads and Ribbons," not "Friendship Bracelets All Grown Up."

Projects range from beginner to intermediate, and the multitude of examples make it easy to get your creative juices going to make something original.
