5.0 out of 5 stars Extremly Easy
I got this book from a book store, and I have been weaving as I like to call it, for about two months now. I brought some thread and my skills to a family gathering, and ALL my cousins were very interested! I VERY MUCH recommend any Klutz book for begginers at anything!

P.S: About a month after i showed my cousins how to weave friendship braclets, the next...

3.0 out of 5 stars difficult
I bought 2 of these books, one for a 13 yr old girl, and the other for a 10 year old boy. The 13 yr old girl had some experience with bracelet making, so enjoyed the chance to learn new techniques. The 10 yr old boy was very frustrated with learning the basic bracelet. I would recommend the book for teens vs preteen, unless they have some experience.

P.S: About a month after i showed my cousins how to weave friendship braclets, the next time we all got together, all my cousins had more than 30 friendship bracelets on their ankels, necks, wrists,FINGERS!! and even one of my relatives made shoelaces!

5.0 out of 5 stars Great kit for beginners, April 5, 2002
This review is from: Friendship Bracelets (Klutz S.) (Spiral-bound)
When I was a kid, my friends and I loved to make friendship bracelets out of embroidery floss. We would weave different designs and give them to each other as gifts. It was so much fun.

My best friend's daughter is turning 8, and when I saw this book, I knew this would be perfect for her. She is creative and loves jewelry. This book is the perfect starter kit for making friendship bracelets. Along with step by step instructions with illustrations for making simple to complex patterns, this book also provides a handy measuring guide and all the supplies needed to make many plain and beaded friendship bracelets. A variety of colored floss and beads (including blue, red, green, pink, white, and black) means that just about every taste is covered.

I highly recommend this product as a gift for any creative or crafty girl (or boy)!

5.0 out of 5 stars A great any day activity!, July 13, 2005
This review is from: Friendship Bracelets (Klutz S.) (Spiral-bound)
This is one of my favorite klutz products. The bracelets turn out great, and you don't have to have any experience to make them. Some bracelets are a little harder than others, but practice makes perfect! It's also great for roadtrips because there is a clip included that holds the bracelet to the book. I would recommend this to anyone who wants something fun to do, and is from the age of 6-18!

I bought this book because I wanted something of a crafty nature to relieve stress in my life. I absolutely loved it! The directions were simply, there were quite a few different bracelet styles, there were no large set of tools/support materials to transport, and new thread can be stored in the zippered pouch. After the thread was gone, I discovered I could use embroidery floss (roughly $.25 per skein) - a cheap and colorful source of bracelet yarn!

I would recommend this book for anyone from 8 to 80. It's fun and easy and thoroughly user-friendly.

5.0 out of 5 stars Great!, December 13, 1998

The instructions were so clear I was able to do the most complicated bracelet in the book only knowing the basics. They make the difficult steps easier and more fun. The layout was also pretty cool.

5.0 out of 5 stars Clear instructions, interesting designs, well-done!, July 9, 1999
By A Customer
This review is from: Friendship Bracelets (Klutz S.) (Spiral-bound)
I borrowed the book from a friend after alredy knowing how to make friendship bracelets, but I still found new ideas and new designs. For those who have absolutely no experience, the book gives very clear instructions on how exactly to tie the knots needed to make the certain bracelets, how long the strings have to be, etc. I highly recommend this book to anyone who has interest, experienced or not, in making friendship bracelets for friends, or for themselves.

5.0 out of 5 stars *CLEAR* INSTRUCTIONS and Great Fun!, December 30, 2002
This review is from: Friendship Bracelets (Klutz S.) (Spiral-bound)
I got this book from the library before I bought it to confirm it's worthiness and it got top ratings from me! The instructions are *VERY* clear,so even if you've never made friendship bracelets before, you can start right away beacause it includes *ALL* the materials you need. The designs start at the easiest,so you can learn the basic knot before you proceed to more complex designs.
The Lowdown: A great book for the experienced crafter, the person trying to reach that level,or the pure beginner. Enjoy.

My daughters and I enjoy this book and this activity very much...I have found that the designs are well explained and easy enough for me, my 9 y/o & 15 y/o...we have made bracelets for each other, Dad, & the boys, and are now branching out into our own "designs." What a wonderful time we have had with our friendship bracelets...or as I call them..."Our Mother-Daughter bonding bracelets."

4.0 out of 5 stars Fun summer activity for the kids, June 30, 2006

This is a great activity book for the kids over the summer. However, some of the projects will require adult supervision just because they are a bit involved. My children are ten, six and six and were able to do some of the bracelets & bookmark tassles by themselves with a good amount of self satisfaction. I also purchased additional, thicker cording at the discount craft store and it seems to be much easier for the kids to work with.
