5.0 out of 5 stars Works well, priced well December 19, 2013

In the course of a little over two years, this is the second time I've had to replace this part. It's important to keep the interior of your dryer cabinet clean and free of lint. This time around, mine had a small leak in an air passage that I didn't know about. Lint and debris settling on the heating coil it what usually causes it to fail. When you install it, make sure you thoroughly clean both the interior and the shroud upon which you mount the new coil. Take care that the coil is properly suspended on the ceramic mounting clips, and not touching the shroud anywhere. Not so much that it will cause a short- although I guess that's possible- but because it causes too much heat too accumulate in one spot, again causing premature coil failure. (I think that's what might have happened the first time around.) I also used gloves this time so I wouldn't get any oil or perspiration on the coil.
The part isn't difficult to install, and it's far cheaper than calling a repairman.
The product arrived packed in bubble-wrap, and within a few days of ordering. (both times) Good product and good service. Definitely recommended.

5.0 out of 5 stars Perfect Fit! December 19, 2013

I have changed these a couple of times. I previously bought them from an appliance store and it was expensive. They would come so tightly wound, I would need to stretch it out before installing. This caused many problems. But this coil from Pandora is a perfect fit. Not stretching out needed. It works well. Only time will tell. The price was also very attractive!

4.0 out of 5 stars Works good June 3, 2013

The product came packaged with instructions on how to install it on the clips. Ez to do if you watch how you take the old one off and follow the instructions. My dryer is heating great now.

5.0 out of 5 stars The right part, great price. April 26, 2013

This was the least expensive way to repair our dryer. It can easily be completed by anyone with some repair skills. You have to know, or figure out how to take apart your dryer to get to the coil, but the included directions are great at showing how to replace the coil. All the local stores (if they even had the parts) wanted to sell me a whole new meating element assembly for $60-$150 + tax. This little part saved me a lot of money!

5.0 out of 5 stars Good Quality... Stupid Cheap.. March 3, 2013

My 6 year old Kenmore dryer crapped out on me a week ago, I could see sparks inside the back of the dryer. I looked at replacing the washer/dryer set but the prices are climbing by the day. After identifying the faulty heater coil on Google I watched a Youtube video showing the procedure for replacement. This coil was cheaper than the sales tax would have been on a coil bought locally, made my buying decision easy. Paid the expedited shipping and got the coil to me door in 3 days. Installation was pretty straight forward, it takes a bit of luck to get the stretched coil spaced properly the first go around but nothing too difficult about it. Dryer is working like a champ after $13 and a couple hours of labor, it was actually a little fun doing the repair. The repair probably would have cost about $200 locally.

The dryer is finally back together and working great. The replacement heater coil was a great way to go as long as your heater box is in good shape. The restringing was pretty simple compared to the job of getting to the heating element (I had to pull off the top and front of the dryer and pull out the drum to get to the heat box.

5.0 out of 5 stars Saved me $300+ July 3, 2011

The heat in my dryer went out. I went to sears to see how much it would cost to fix it. They told me the part alone would be $200. I did some research and found out that I did not have to buy the whole heating element but just the coil. I replaced it myself which wasn't the hardest thing in the world. It did take some time to take apart my dryer. I'm just glad I didn't have to shell out $400 for parts and labor.

5.0 out of 5 stars Good buy January 23, 2011

While it comes with scant instructions, with the help of youtube, and some more parts, this product helped me save at least $200 in dryer repair, and not having to lug the dryer into the store. Sears charges $129+tax as labor charges ad this product sells on sears site for about $35

To instal this, in my opinion, is only a little more effort than taking the whole dryer to the store. When I opened up the dryer (the only time I had opened up a dryer), I was shocked to see the dryer worked at all till then.. It had the heating element melted in different locations, and a piece of the heating element was wound around the hub of the drum (now I understand why there was a squeaking noise when the dryer was on). I was really pleased with making the dryer work again, this time much quieter ;).

It certainly made my wife happy, and I feel much more confident in opening the dryer again if I need (I hope I don't have to though)
