Very Happy,
This review is from: Frigidaire AEQ6000ES Affinity 5.8 Cu. Ft. Super Capacity Dryer (Electronics)
I have had both the washer and dryer for about a year and am very happy with both of them.
The dryer door has popped open once or twice - but that was right after I closed it and was most likely because I didn't shut it hard enough. The dryer often dries a full load faster then suggested by the 'normal' cycle setting so I use the shorter options to save a couple of pennies on energy. I am very please with both of these machines! I would purchase them again/recommend them to a friend.

Door never stays shut,

Half the time the dryer door won't latch shut. If it does, it usually comes open during the cycle. I hate it! I also bought the washer and it has issues too. That's what I get for buying the cheapest front loaders in the store.

Let me start by saying that because of my experience, I will never again buy ANYTHING with the Frigidaire or Electrolux name attached to it. NEVER. I bought my dryer a couple of years ago, and thought that only a one year warranty was a little shoddy, but never did I expect that the control panels in these dryers are like self-destructing "screw the customer" systems! The dryer started beeping one day while not even turned on, and displaying error code E68, the code for a stuck button. There are no buttons stuck, and upon researching it a bit, I found hundreds of other people online with the same exact problem. The control panel shorts out after 2-3 years and will cause the dryer to think a button is being held down and won't run. Nothing is wrong with the mechanics, it's all just this stupid electronic panel. As I, and the hundreds of other people with these dryers, have found out, Frigidaire absolutely refuses to replace the faulty control panel unless you pay ~$200.00 plus the cost of a service person to come put it in if you don't know how to do it yourself!
They KNOW that they are selling dryers with defective control panels, yet hide behind their wimpy one year warranty as a way to milk a ton of extra cash out of their customers. Where is the recall, Frigidaire??? Hopefully the Better Business Bureau will care to urge them toward resolving this. In the meantime, I recommend that you DO NOT BUY THIS DRYER, OR ANY OTHER FRIGIDAIRE PRODUCT! THEY ARE SCAM ARTISTS!!!

Seemed nice in the store,
By The first time my wife used it the interior light popped out and gave her one heck of a shock. You may not have troubles with it, but we did. (Note, we didn't buy it at Amazon, but I am a regular Amazon customer and thought others would like to know.) |
