The Variable Speed Fan and 8-Way Air Direction along with Electronic Controls with Full Function Remote makes it very easy to operate. For those with Allergy problems, the Ionizer/Electrostatic Clean Air Filtration ensures a Clean Airflow and with LVC Technology (Low Voltage Compensation), proper operation of the unit is assured when voltage fluctuates below normal levels. Installing the unit is made easy with the Pleated Quick Mount Window Mounting Kit and Filter cleaning is a snap with the Tilt-Out Filter Access Feature.

I bought this expecting it to be a little noisy and it didn't dissapoint ;) The fan is definitely noisy but as I live in a city it nicely "humms" out the noise outside. Consistent noise so easy to sleep through.

Cools very well - I have a small room and it got the temp down very quick. I opened the door to the living room and it managed to cool the whole place down pretty well (large living room).

Expect noise but great cooling. As easy to install as any AC.
