1.0 out of 5 stars Worst grill ever, July 2, 2006
This review is from: Frigidaire FD30LPDC 30-Inch Stainless Steel Propane Grill (Lawn & Patio)
The so called stainless steel construction including burners is not so. Burners rusted through in less then one year. Hard to get replacements.
Buy a Ducane at Home Depot, best deal there.

2.0 out of 5 stars Don't be fooled by the long warranty, May 31, 2011
This review is from: Frigidaire FD30LPDC 30-Inch Stainless Steel Propane Grill (Lawn & Patio)
I found this discontinued Frigidaire grill at a small local appliance store 2 years ago. For a 304 stainless steel grill, I thought I was getting a bargain--especially considering the warranty. And the very heavy duty grates gave me confidence that this grill could last a while.

The 15-year burner warranty is not reflective of the quality of the 'stainless' burners. They rusted through after 2 years. By "rusted through," I mean that the outer two burners split open toward the back of the grill, sending large flames up the back of the grill; and the middle one split completely in half, causing one part to fall down to the bottom of the grill. Thankfully Frigidaire/Electrolux was true to their word, and replaced the burner under warranty. It will reportedly take up to 14 business days for me to receive the replacement though.

The igniter performance was hit-and-miss. And finally the rubber bulb of the push button wore out and split, so I currently can't use it. When I attempted to get that replaced under warranty, I was told that the part is no longer available. Hmm...I wonder why.

The body and the grates are in excellent shape. It's a shame that the burners and the igniter aren't of better quality.

I would not buy this grill again, even given the good price. I plan to keep this going for another few years as long as Frigidaire continues to replace the burners, and then I hope to buy a Weber.
