Bottom line is this wine fridge has a design flaw regarding the shelves. If you pull a shelf out half way or more, it can easily fall off the side supports. We discovered this issue when loading wine for the first time and had a couple bottles of wine drop on the floor. With a shelf of 4-5 bottles of wine, having the shelf fall would be downright dangerous so we returned the cooler. It's a shame because the cooler looks great and seems to cool properly. We cannot believe the shelf system passed Frigidaire quality control or even got out of the design department. Really all that is needed is some stops to prevent the shelf from pulling out too far, or simply making the side supports that the shelves slide on a little wider. We purchased a different brand wine cooler for about the same price and it has nice roller shelves which come out half way and can't fall.

My spouse purchased this offline for my birthday gift. It is sturdy and of decent quality for the price. I have seen in other reviews that people have had frustrations with constant beeping. Before you pull your hair out, check to see if you may have accidentally put the light switch in the "always on" position. It does not like that and will beep to alert you that it has been left on. I suppose leaving a light on would have the potential to warm the fridge. Which would probably also send the beeper into fits. Rather than having the shelves fall out, we have found them to be quite snug. Snug enough that they can be a pain to pull out. 750mL bottles fit nicely on the shelves. The bottom two shelves allow for larger bottles. To have large bottles on the upper shelves would require removing a shelf and would not be exactly efficient. The unit is not designed with adjustable shelves, per say, rather you just slide them in and out to make more room for larger bottles.

This unit works for our current situation and we are enjoying it immensely.

edit: It is now 12/2014. We have moved this wine cooler to two different houses and once was to a different state. That last move was handled by college boys. Frat boys, to be exact. They were not drunk but they tossed my stuff around like they were obliterated. >:(
I can tell that this little wine fridge will outlast me. It survived and not even one problem after that move. I expected it to be loud as others have experienced. No. All is well. Everything held up and it is still working great.

This is my second dual zone wine fridge - the first being a Danby that finally broke (lasted 6 yrs). After lots of research, we decided on this one and have had it for about a month. Best things about it: door is reversible, quiet (we found it to be super quiet), bottom shelf comes out (best for odd bottles), free standing, size, etc. We did follow start up directions and I am happy about this purchase and would recommend it often.
What I did find out is that you can't switch the red and white zones. We like more whites and champagnes and we could not put the reds on top and whites on bottom - where there is more room. I wish wine fridge manufacturers would take note of this and allow people's drinking preferences. The shelves are a huge pain but they were in the Danby as well. I am still very nervous about the shelves but haven't found a solution. Enjoy!

The temp control is a fake - numbers on display are preset settings might as well be manual dial. The numbers displayed are not the actual temps. You will need a thermometer. The top and bottom are backwards. The top should have the red wine - where it's warmer and the bottom should be for white wine. Came with a few scratches. I would not buy this unit again.
