First of all, what can I say other, then its more Fringe?. I am a huge fringe fan, and while these comics and books have met with mixed reviews, I am happy with my purchase.
NOTE: It must be said again that all these stories are not actual " Fringe" events, some are, but some show character's stories pre fringe, and some during, that can explain some of the differences
But... this comic/graphic novel is a strange beast, and is not perfect, but the mistakes made are most times covered by faithful reproductions of cast members, and and overall feeling of the fringe universe, making it tough to review, I shall surpass my typical "pro and con" approach
Art- the art is well done, and for the most part, to par with comics today, but in some stories the Fringe characters are drawn differently from the show, I know you cant recreate them perfectly, but, in the first story I wasnt sure who peter was until he was directly addressed, but at times characters( like Olivia, and Astrid) are so perfectly visually reproduced that you would swear it is the actor or actress you are "watching" while reading the stories, even the younger, much prettier Nina Sharp is properly reproduced, this can also be explained by the fact that the book had multiple artists and authors.
Character reproduction faithfulness and Development- this again is a mixed bag, but for the most part is PERFECT.Read more ›

I was very disappointed to receive this book, as I was expecting a book of short stories, not a graphic novel. It should have clearly stated by the title that it was in that format. I do NOT like graphic novels and, had I known, I would not have bought it.
