I purchased this product for myself and three friends prior to a military deployment. I wasn't sure how well they would perform in the desert, but had heard good things from others. This product performed above and beyond what I had expected. Recently I was working in 50 degree C heat, I hydrated the bandana with hot bottled water and wrapped it around my neck within a few seconds I could tell a noticeable difference in my comfort level. The bandana managed to stay cool for hours even in the oppressive heat. I strongly recommend this for anyone whom has to wear body armor for long periods of time in a hot environment. I prefer the bandana over the towel size of the same product, but in the future would like to see something sized between the bandana and towel.

If you are planning on working outdoors in a hot environment I strongly recommend this product.

I was really hoping for better.
It does cool quicker than a wet towel, but I think it is limited by the high humidity and heat of the Savannah, GA. I belive in a low humidity climate, it would work very well. But for now it serves as a headband/sweatband.

It really does work! We're golfers and on those hot days it feels good to have a product like this that keeps you cool. I just keep it in the frig. and when it dries out...all you do it wet it.

I like this product. I previously used the FroggToggs "Chilly Pad," but its large rectangular shape makes a little awkward. The "Chilly Dana" is a triangular and a bit smaller. It provides a good cooling effect when soaked with water and the effect lasts longer than soaking a regular cotton bandana, because of its thick, spongy material. I use it on long summer time hikes and I'm very happy with it.
