5.0 out of 5 stars Surprisingly good product, but 1 little potential problem
I just started golfing with a $15 set of clubs from a flea market that are pretty much all covered in dried dirt (no towel and no rinse water at the range). This thing cleared out my groves and brushed off a decent bit of dirt and mud without any real hassle. The wire brush within the plastic brush is a nice feature (default). It does a good job of cleaning up the heads...

Not worth the extra $$$... the bristles wear out just as quickly as a cheap $1.00 version from Golfer's Warehouse.

5.0 out of 5 stars Surprisingly good product, but 1 little potential problem, August 7, 2010

It does a good job of cleaning up the heads without having to use too much force.

I found the retractable pointed grove cleaner to be particularly useful. I got out mud and dried dirt with relative ease. The ability of this thing to retract back into the handle is a huge perk. But this ability may also be its downfall. One thing I noticed is that there is a lot of wiggle room (imo) that the pick has. When scratching out a rather hard spot that required some extra effort, I found myself choking up so as to not create a bend point at the swivel. I think that it is entirely possible for the pick to break off if you're really pushing hard on the caked on mud. I haven't had this happen, but it is worth noting.

As of now, the Frogger brush is working just as described with no trouble, but it may be only a matter of time until I drop this to 3 stars if the pick breaks off. I will also note that the retractable line is quite helpful. It has a nice firm retract force; which may cause another problem if you have an upright bag (could knock it over while you're cleaning it).

It cleans very well. The metal bristles in between the plastic is great idea. It gets the hard dirt and then it nicely sweeps all in one shot. Compared to my old brush where the metal and plastic bristles were separated this product is way better. The extension is also nice. What a relief to have it.

I gave it 4 stars because the hook to the bag is very week cheap plastic. I can see it break fairly soon. Not sure why they just didn't get a studier hook.

4.0 out of 5 stars Excellent product... a bit over priced, December 1, 2010

I am miticulous when it comes to keeping my clubs clean. I have tried all kinds of brushes and I like the Frogger the best. I have forged clubs and you shouldn't use metal bristles to clean them. The frogger comes with the nylon head, but more importantly, the nylon head is stiff enough to get the clubs clean.
I broke my first Frogger brush (my fault) and tried other cheaper brushes. They just were not stiff enough to clean the clubs.

So, I bought another Frogger. Gets the job done...although a bit expensive.

4.0 out of 5 stars Great Brush!, August 1, 2011

I had purchased this as a gift for my husband & would have to agree with others. The brush is excellent, but the attachment (to keep it on your bag & allow you to pull it down/out) isn't very sturdy. My husband still uses the brush saying "it's an excellent brush". I would have given it 5 stars if it weren't for the fact that he does not use the pulley system (because of the chance of it breaking off & then losing the brush).

With my purchase of the BrushPro and a magnetic ball marking hat, my golf set-up is complete. I use it before and after every shot and it really keeps my clubs clean. Having clean clubs assures your best chance to hit a good shot.

Awesome tool for any golfer, a must for any serious golfer.
The "retractable" feature is definitely the highlight, very cool. Also very cool is the groove cleaner - the brush seems durable & it comes with a replacement brush-head.
The only cons... it's not a solid body, it's hollow & I could see it breaking over time, whereas a solid design would make it much more durable. Oh, and I wish it came in more colors.
Regardless, it's a must have for the golf addicted. Great product, A+
