5.0 out of 5 stars 43 year-old finds GBA bliss!
This is the first game I've ever bought, and it's great! I'm sure that some more experienced gamers might find it too "simple", but if you're like me, and new to this GBA system, it offers _plenty_ of challenges, believe me. 3.0 out of 5 stars Moderately fun , average gameplay
This game tries to expand the notorious Frogger arcade hit from the 80's by bringing an adventure-type gameplay and increasingly difficult missions to accomplish.

Gameplay is easy to grasp, the instruction booklet is almost not necessary as hints and help are available throughout the game. You are still in command of little Frogger, moving him in the familiar...

This is the first game I've ever bought, and it's great! I'm sure that some more experienced gamers might find it too "simple", but if you're like me, and new to this GBA system, it offers _plenty_ of challenges, believe me. Reminds me of the games I used to play in arcades. But this Frogger is much more fun and "involved" than the old version. Frogger is always under threat of danger, but he's non-violent, choosing instead to outwit his opponents, or just avoid them altogether, as he goes about his mission (through several wonderfully imaginative, totally different "worlds") of collecting the items he'll need to save his swamp-friends back home from the Bad Guys who've come to town. Under proper lighting (a challenge in itself, with the GBA system), I was totally jazzed by the intricate graphics, and vibrant colors. I do like to turn off the "music", as I find it irritating, but the sound effects can be left on by themselves, and add to the fun. The game can be turned off anytime, and restarted later at the same point you left off, which is a nice feature, too. This game is perfect for kids or adults who are looking for a fun way to enjoy the GBA system...and help out a plucky little frog at the same time! I couldn't recommend it more highly.

5.0 out of 5 stars HOP TO IT!, November 28, 2001
This review is from: Frogger's Adventures: Temple of the Frog (Video Game)
I'm an adult gamer who has grown up with Frogger and has really enjoyed seeing him become better and better as the years have progressed. In my opinion, this is the best Frogger yet, although I also enjoyed Frogger 2, GBC's contribution to Frogger's metamorphosis. The graphics on the GBA are far superior to GBC's and Konomi has taken advantage of this in Frogger's newest outing. If you've been a Frogger fan in the past, you will certainly appreciate his newest "look." What are you waiting for? HOP TO IT!

I think this game is challangeing, I am always up for the challenge. I finished the game after playing non-stop for a week. Me being 11 years old thought the finale level was the hardest, but it can be beaten. It is the only game I have ever played that got me addicted enough to finish it. I enjoyed the game but it was also frustrateing at times. This game and donkey kong country2 are my faves. But, it is my oppinion, play it yourself to find out yours beacuse I can't tell you what to think now can I?

5.0 out of 5 stars LOVED IT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!, December 14, 2004

This review is from: Frogger's Adventures: Temple of the Frog (Video Game)
I LOVED THIS GAME SOOOOOOOOOOOOO MUCH! It is origianol, interesting and really really fun! It has 5 cute little worlds, and 15 levels. It gets really hard over time, but as soon as you get familiar with all of the controls and enimies, it isn't as hard as it seems. A little hint: On parts of the 2nd earth element level, move fast! Don't think, move fast! It helps! I finished the game in about a week, and my favorite places were the sea world and temple levels. Buy this game now, it totally rocks!

4.0 out of 5 stars Fun and frustrating for a forty year old!, June 7, 2002

Briefly, Frogger's Adventures, Temple of The Frog has super graphics, Frogger is adorable and it is kind of fun.

The frustrating thing for me, is I can't get passed level two (of course I don't have the time to spend on this cute game). And, the fact that you have to go over and over the same level to get to the next level. Unless I am being totally stupid and there is a way to get around this.

Overall, this is a pretty fun (but very frustrating)game for all ages.

5.0 out of 5 stars Not the same old frogger., January 1, 2002
By A Customer
This review is from: Frogger's Adventures: Temple of the Frog (Video Game)
I asked for this game for Christmas without really knowing what I was getting. I expected the old frogger game of my youth, but this is not it. However, when I saw this game had such a low review rating I had to respond. No, this is not the frogger game I expected, but I love it. It is more on par with a Mario brothers sort of side scroll action adventure. The game has an Indiana Jones twist that makes for light hearted fun. I love the detailed animation. I have played this game more than any other.

5.0 out of 5 stars 12 year old Frogger fan rates it BIG!, December 26, 2001
This review is from: Frogger's Adventures: Temple of the Frog (Video Game)
I own the game, and it is simply wonderful! I recieved it as a christmas present this year and totally LOVE it! it is not hard at first, which makes u want to go farther, and then, by the time u reach 2 temples higher, (dots on the map) it gets tougher. It is a wonderful game also, because of the fact that you dont pay the $... or whatever and beat it the first 2-5 days and say, well, now that i know what happens and i beat it, whats the point on poppin it back into the game boy console and playing it, it takes a while and has great graphics which make u keep playing instead of it being boring. I recommend it for all ages, but when it gets hard, about ages 8-all. PLEASE BUY ONE, YOU WONT EVER REGRET IT!!

A Kid's Review
This review is from: Frogger's Adventures: Temple of the Frog (Video Game)
Hello. I am ten and I loved this game. (okay, love this game: I havn't exactly finished it) This game has 5 levels. I have not gotten to the 5th yet. Each level has 3 mini levels, the last ones being having to fight a bad guy. I really, really like this game. It is also very addictive though. Oh well, at least it's fun! (for all ages too, even my little sister!)

4.0 out of 5 stars Great game but crashes near the very end!, June 22, 2004
This review is from: Frogger's Adventures: Temple of the Frog (Video Game)
This game is hard to put down. Gameplay is addictive and can last hours at a time, although it is frustratingly repetitive to have to repeat the same parts of levels again and again and again until you clear the level. Still, it's quite entertaining and surely ranks as one of the better games for the platform.

The odd thing is that at 87% completion leading into the Temple level, the game crashes after collecting the balls to complete the boss level with the glowing electric spheres. As soon as you get all five balls, Frogger immediately runs into the left wall and is permanently stuck there. I've gotten this far twice now with the same result, so I'm doubtful if it's actually possible to finish the rest of the game. The game controls freeze as Frogger repeatedly smacks his head into the wall in what appears to be a graphics and/or programming glitch. I'm using a GameBoy Advance SP Platinum, so that should be to spec, but the code and/or the cartridge seems to have this nasty bug. Since just about all the other reviewers here don't seem to have gotten this far, I'd be curious to know if anyone has finished the game and gotten past this technical obstacle. Turning off the device and trying again with no luck has been a real bummer...
