More About the Author

Elizabeth Adler is a self-confessed romantic, a travel addict and a foodie, all of which she brings to the reader in her novels, along with a tough thrust of suspense and an unfolding mystery that keeps you on your toes. Elizabeth has lived in many countries and when she's not writing spends time discovering even more places to bring to you, with her husband, Richard - still in love after all these years - as are the characters featured in her past three novels, Mac Reilly the Malibu PI and Sunny Alvarez, his lover and side kick. You have to read about them to know them! Elizabeth lives in California and has the ability to take you to all those romantic places she knows so well, Capri, Venice, Tuscany, St. Tropez, Monte Carlo, and of course, Malibu. You will feel you are there, with her, sitting on that Italian terrace, sipping that coffee, smelling the delicious food, savoring the heat and the sunshine and the mystery unfolding for you. Elizabeth is five-three and wishes she were taller, blind as a bat without her glasses that anyway she is too vain to wear, and at 128 lbs till thinking about that diet. She has one daughter, Anabelle who is married to rock musician Eric Avery and two kitties, the Siamese, Sweet Pea who rules the household, and an adorable black cat Sunny.

Still, I didn't want to hold this against the book too much so I gave it a 4.

Pop singer Bibi Fortunata faces charges of murdering her lover and his mistress. However, a jury in Los Angeles acquits her of both murders. She sends her nine years old daughter Paloma Ravel to live with relatives in Spain before coming over to join them. Bibi never makes it to her family as she vanishes.

At the beach just outside his home in Malibu, TV private eye Mac Reilly and his dog Pirate save Paloma from drowning. The child explains to Mac and his lover Sunny Alvarez the cook that she was looking for him because she wants him to find her missing mother Bibi. Paloma's step-grandmother Lorenza worries about the child; the kid's avaricious stepfather wants control of Paloma's money. She calls her former lover Mac who travels to Barcelona to search for Bibi. Sunny follows him to Europe.

This is an enjoyable Reilly-Alvarez investigation as the California pair takes Barcelona by storm. The breezy story line is fast-paced with terrific settings and a strong support cast although the missing person's case is thin. Series fans will appreciate the Malibu mates return to Europe (see It All Began in Monte Carlo and There's Something about St. Tropez).

I read this book last year and love all of Elizabeth Adler's books. They let you feel as if you are right there in Spain. I loved her book on Venice , you can feel that she has been there and experienced the love of Venice.

These two characters have been in several books. you dont have to read the others to read this book but why not .
Theses are what I call popcorn novels light fun and you cant put them down. This one is no exception with adventure and the lux life from Barcalona to Malibu. If you are looking for a book that is an adventurous, glamourous escape pick this book up or kindle it!

Sunny Alvarez and Mac Reilly have shared their grand, passionate romance in four New York Times bestselling novels by Elizabeth Adler. We have traveled to and lusted after the decadent destinations from Malibu to the Cote d'Azur. We've sipped expensive champagne and tasted cool, delicious French rosés and smelled the scent of the sea as Mac's private detective job has taken him around the world in search of clues for his latest client. Beach reads don't get any better! I recommend readers stuff their beach bags with all of Adler's books about Mac and Sunny. They will transport you to luxurious destinations, introduce you to the foods and wines of the region, and feed your desire for romance.

ONE OF THOSE MALIBU NIGHTS places sexy TV star Mac Reilly at the same party as voluptuous public relations consultant Sunny Alvarez. When their eyes meet, the romance begins. Their love affair flourishes on the beaches of the French Riviera in THERE'S SOMETHING ABOUT ST. TROPEZ. Mac chases his beloved Sunny to Monte Carlo in IT ALL BEGAN IN MONTE CARLO after she leaves her pink, heart-shaped diamond engagement ring on his pillow on Christmas Eve. FROM BARCELONA, WITH LOVE brings Mac's first love back into his life, and readers are captivated as Mac must choose between Lorenza de Ravel and the love of his life, Sunny Alvarez.

Mac and Sunny become involved with Paloma Ravel, the young daughter of international singing sensation Bibi Fortunata, who is accused of the double murder of her best friend and lover. Without evidence, the Los Angeles police allow Bibi to simply disappear. Bibi sends Paloma to live with her family in Barcelona to protect her from the scandal.

Do you ever just want to be transported away to a foreign destination, with summer breezes, sandy beaches, expensive champagne and decadent foods? Well don't we all! Not all of us, though can afford to hop onto a plane and visit these countries ourselves. Well now to get that same feeling you don't have to, because From Barcelona With Love will transport you to the historic streets and luscious vine yards of Barcelona without even leaving the comfort of your own home.

Bibi Fortuna, singer/model/actress, was one of the most recognised and loved celebrities in Hollywood until her best friend and lover are killed and Bibi is arrested on suspicion of murdering them both.. Bibi was all over the front page, however the police were never able to prove that she had commited the crimes. Bibi was set free but with the cloud of suspicion still over her Bibi decided to run away to Barcelona and simply disappear. All is not so simple however, as Bibi has a daughter, Paloma, who she has to leave behind. When Paloma comes to private investigator Mac Reilley and his girlfriend Sunny Alvarez for help finding her mom, they cannot resist trying to solve this mystery and reunite a mother and her daughter. Did Bibi really commit the murders? Is Bibi even still alive? And if so where is she hiding?

From Barcelona With Love is the fourth novel in the Mac Reilley series, following on From One Of Those Malibu Nights, There's Something About St Tropez and It All Began In Monte Carlo. Mac Reilley and Sunny Alvarez have shared their romance and travelled to many luxurious destinations. Unlike many other series though, do not worry if you have never read any of the other novels, as you can read these as stand along novels.
