More About the Author

Constance Bovier grew up in the Pacific Northwest, then launched into a life that included enlistment in the US Air Force, marriage and children, and a career as a writer in advertising, business and magazines. A resident of Texas since 1975, she lives in the Houston area with her husband and cats, where she writes, teaches, leads retreats and offers spiritual direction to others on the faith journey.

Her two non-fiction inspirational books - More God and From the Crucible - have been enthusiastically received by readers in both the Christian and 12-step recovery communities. In her third book, Restoring Hope, Connie returned to her life-long passion for fiction. This short story collection introduces a wide variety of characters whose lives illumine questions of faith and hope, as well as the astonishing resilience of the human spirit.

Format: Paperback
Ms. Bovier's stories of individuals who have gone further spiritually than the 12 steps are a beacon for others seeking similar progress. The stories are reminiscent of those in the "Big Book" of Alcoholics Anonymous, but are aimed at expanding spirituality past the 12 steps.

I couldn't put the book down... I was hooked from page one. The life lessons shared were miracles to me in my life. I loved this book. I learned so much. I was profoundly touched by the authors' own life story and the others featured! I was so moved by my reaction to the book that I chose this as my Holiday '04 gift to friends, family, and colleagues... many of whom have shared that their lives too were deeply enriched after reading this book. Life has a way of providing growth via many avenues, and I recommend this book as just that - grab a cup of coffee, tea, etc. and settle in for a wonderful experience. The book is written superbly, a flowing and engaging conversational style!!
