"From Grassland to Glacier" provides a compact description of all of the Colorado life zones. The book starts with a succint explication of the environmental factors that control floral distributions in Colorado.
Each life zone is described emphasizing the dominant plants, animals, environmental factors and locations within the state.
The book is handy to have for field biologists and for people teaching field classes in the Rocky Mountains.
