About Author, Barbara Garro, MA
Barbara Garro, MA, award-winning writer, artist and coach, encourages people to have happier lives through a wide range of expertise: books, articles, speaking, teaching, and acting. Born in Camden, NJ, in 1943, Garro's books include The Comfort of the Shepherd: Parable Prayer and Meditation, From Jesus to Heaven with Love: A Parable Pilgrimage, Grow Yourself a Life You'll Love and Seasons: Haiku & More. Upcoming by Spring 2014 in both E-Book and Soft Cover formats, is her newest book Living the Call of God. Garro's five full books of poetry are looking for a publisher. Currently, Garro is writing the quintessential weight control book, Yes You Can Get Happy with Your Body!
She studied at the Philadelphia Art Museum from 1963-'64. She holds a Master of Arts degree from State University of New York, Empire State College, Saratoga Springs, N.Y. She is President and CEO of Electric Envisions, Inc., a 21-year old business devoted to helping people have the happy lives they deserve.
Garro is a member of St. Clement's Roman Catholic Church, Sustaining Associate in The American Watercolor Society, CPCU Society, Smithsonian National Associates, and The Resurrection Choir. In her leisure time, she teaches religious education to children, tells sacred stores, enjoys travel and the outdoors, volunteers, and is an avid reader.
