Jennifer Cote's "From the Land of Milk and Honey" is a Devotional Cookbook. With Scriptures throughout the book, and the explanation of the scripture is a fantastic mix of recipes and faith. I tried some of the recipes, being not a good cook, they turned out really well. This, to me, makes the recipes sound and safe to make even if you're not the best cook (Let's be honest, I usually burn water...)
Some of the recipes included are for different soups, salads & dressings, main dishes, party foods & side dishes, different sauces (like BBQ, Tomato, Tahini, etc), and desserts (of course, this was my favorite section. I love desserts!).
This cookbook is more than just a cookbook though. It's a story of Jennifer's life and ambitions that she wanted to share with the world. When I picked up this book, given to me freely by the author in return for an honest review, I thought to myself: Why put Bible verses in a cookbook?
Jennifer answers this by a verse: 2 Timothy 3:16-17 "Every Scripture passage is inspired by God. All of them are useful for teaching...for a life that has God's approval. They equip God's servants so that they are completely prepared to do good things."
Jennifer, I couldn't agree more!

Review: I gave this Devotional Cookbook a 10/10 because of two things. 1. I can actually cook with these recipes, which says a lot for the preciseness of the recipes, and 2. The photography in the page's backgrounds were absolutely stunning and flows so well with the explanations of why she included a particular Scripture. I will be using this cookbook for a long time to come.
