About the Author

Born in 1927, Thomas Roscell (Henry) Vanleer lived in Promise Land, Tennessee until the age of eight where he attended Promise Land School. He served as a Chaplain for the Greater Minneapolis Council of Churches for 20 years in the Juvenile and Adult Correctional system in the State of Minnesota. Thomas is currently the lead Chaplain for the NBA s Minnesota Timberwolves and is serving in an Advisory capacity to Thrivent Financial, a nonprofi t organization of the Lutheran Church.
