Paige took that negative event and turned it into one of the best things that had ever happened to her and is now living her dream by working from home and making more money than ever - and you can too! Paige resides in San Angelo, TX. She has a degree in Business Administration from the University of Phoenix. Paige has worked from home for 10 of the last 15 years.

I'm so glad I read this book before I got any farther with my own freelance part time business. I already have a full time job but recently was told to look into freelancing my skills on the side. When I found this book I thought I'd give it a try and I'm glad I did. This book started with an introduction to the skills typically used by a virtual assistant and covered all the necessary steps/information through landing my first client and marketing for expansion. I have no idea if I'll ever expand but if I decide to, I know I have a good foundation and direction to go in.

Who should read this book? People who are new to the field of being a virtual assistant. People who have started venturing into this a little bit. People who have been doing it awhile but have some glitches to work out. This book covered basic information about things like setting up your office space, managing your day, common problems people have when working for themselves, and self-evaluation. It also had more detailed information about creating your own website and getting a website developer, how to arrange contracts with clients, and marketing considerations. There was a lot of information to think about and consider for myself, but I was happy that I understood it and have a direction to go on for the future.

From Suits To Sweats: How To Work At Home As A Virtual Assistant was very helpful to me! It was very holistic and covered a broad range of topics. The first part I was able to skim through because it covered types of virtual assistants. I already knew what my niche was. However, the rest of the book was perfect for me to read. In fact, I was a little sorry I hadn't read it sooner since I've already been trying my hand at this type of work. At least I'm better prepared to continue. The book had the major sections I needed to read: administrative areas, business basics, website creation, initial strategy, dealing with a first client, and marketing. There were so many details that I hadn't considered before!

I liked reading this book, too, because it felt both informative and personal. The author clearly has experience doing this type of work. It felt more conversational when I was reading it. I wasn't bogged down with charts, figures, and technical information that was over my head. Instead, I got all the necessary information I needed but in an easy-to-understand, friendly way. All the technical stuff was explained and the information that was minimally explained had links to the websites where more specific information could be found. I felt like I understood what the author was saying and knew where to look if I wanted to know more or see examples.
