Editorial Reviews

"James Jupp is a doyen of Australian immigration research and commentary. Like his other books, From White Australia To Woomera is not only insightful but it is also well written." Pacific Affairs, Graeme Hugo, The University of Adelaide, Australia --This text refers to an out of print or unavailable edition of this title.

Book Description

Immigration specialist James Jupp surveys changes in policy over the last thirty years since the shift away from the White Australia Policy. Jupp considers the establishment of the 'institutions' of multiculturalism and the waves of attacks on multiculturalism. The issue of refugees and asylum seekers is covered in great depth.

Sent to a friend overseas to learn about Australian immigration. Arrived promptly in good condition. Love the book myself. At times a little biased towards the left, but well written so that makes it an interesting read whether I agree with the content or not.
