This book is only for the young sports addict. It is not a tourism guide for the general population. It probably would be great for the hang glider or hiker. We do not plan to take this book with us on our trip to New Zealand and Australia.

I would have liked a book that was less 'travel letter' oriented and just systematically looked at all the different 'adventure options' that one could do. The 'personal musings travelogue' format got old very fast as after a while I didn't really care what you had for breakfast each morning. There WAS some good compiled information at the end of each section but that part of the book could have been done so much better.
