About the Author

Veteran travel writers, Darwin Porter and Danforth Prince, have written many popular guides to the Frommer's series, including books on the Caribbean, France, England, Germany, and Italy. This travel team wrote the first-ever Frommer's guide to the Bahamas, and also a number of other Frommer's books to such island destinations as Bermuda, Puerto Rico, Jamaica, Barbados, Dominican Republic, and the Cayman Islands. Porter is also a Hollywood biographer, film critic, broadcaster, and columnist. Prince was formerly employed in the Paris bureau of the New York Times and is the president of Blood Moon Productions.

This book can be a good resource if you are planning on visiting the Bahamas. We recently used it for our trip to Nassau/Paradise Island and we only noticed a couple of small inaccuracies in the information.

A quick look at this book suggests it's hastily prepared and poorly laid out. There is no link to the table of contents, no way of bookmarking information. A link to provide you with PDF versions of the maps (which would be very useful) merely shows they aren't available. No one at Frommers seems to have thought out how to use a travel Ebook. Very disappointing.
