Excellent Resource
My husband and I spent a week in Chicago at the beginning of September 2010. With the help of the book we found a great inexpensive hotel convenient to everywhere we wanted to go, plotted our own art and architecture walking tour, and ate a lot of very good food. Same info is free online or Chicago Chamber of Commerce
Very informative, but after receiving literature from Chicago Chamber of Commerce and various sites online, it was of little use

My husband and I spent a week in Chicago at the beginning of September 2010. With the help of the book we found a great inexpensive hotel convenient to everywhere we wanted to go, plotted our own art and architecture walking tour, and ate a lot of very good food. We also found lots of free or inexpensive exhibits and performances. The book enabled us to organized our itinerary so we had time to see everything we wanted to see and helped us find things to do that we wouldn't have known about otherwise. The book saved us a considerable amount of time and money. I've used Frommer's books several times and highly recommend them.
