About the Author

Residents of northern New Mexico since 1970, Don and Barbara Laine have traveled extensively throughout the Rocky Mountains and the Southwest, spending as much time as possible in the outdoors, and especially in the regions national parks and monuments. In addition to this book, they have written Frommers guides to Utah, Colorado, Montana and Wyoming, and the National Parks of the American West, and are contributing authors to Frommers Texas.

A Denver-based freelance writer, Eric Peterson has contributed to Frommers guides to Colorado, Texas, and the National Parks of the American West, and has written Frommers Yellowstone & Grand Teton National Parks. When hes not on the road or writing about travel, Peterson covers Colorados high-tech business scene and Denvers punk-rock underbelly. Hes also an avid camper and hiker who enjoys long weekends in the Colorado Rockies with his antique boots, his campfire-cooked delicacies, and his faithful mutt, Giblet.

5.0 out of 5 stars Great guide to Denver and enviros, October 10, 2007
I've now been to Denver twice and found this book to be a great resource. Their itineraries are really helpful, and the maps and write ups are right on.

3.0 out of 5 stars Wine country lite, September 25, 2009

This review is from: Frommer's(r) Denver, Boulder and Colorado Springs, 7th Edition (Paperback)
This book is very limited in the number and types of wineries it reviewed. It is good for the first timer but disappointing for anyone looking for new insight or advice into the Napa and Sonoma wine regions.
