4.0 out of 5 stars Frommer's Guide to England reviewed by Gerd Weithase, June 21, 2006
This review is from: Frommer's England 2006 (Frommer's Complete Guides) (Paperback)
For the most up-to-date, thorough guide to England, look no further than Frommer's. The guides are updated yearly, so you don't end up at a restaurant or hotel that recently shut down.

The pictures in this book are beautiful, colorful and accompanied by in-depth commentary on what to do and what not to do, what places are worth your time and what places are not. The pictures and commentary really give travelers a good sense of where they're going and what to expect.

Some of reviews tend to be on the opinionated side, so follow your instincts as much as you follow the guide. That's really the only drawback though.

One of the best features of Frommer's is the inclusion of local flavor. Whether it's a local hole-in-the-wall pub or an off-the-beaten-path hike near the coast, Frommer's makes sure to include non-touristy sites and activities to enjoy. We appreciated the guide's depth and commitment to exploration and adventure.
